There are many methods of patternmaking. Ciam patternmaking is an Italian method known as the Guarino method. It is a unique simple professional and accurate.

These methods use special graded rulers that eliminate the errors in patternmaking. The most exciting feature of this method is that it can be used by beginners who have never created a pattern, through to experienced dressmakers and patternmakers.

Creating a pattern that fits can save many hours of frustration in the sewing room.

Part of the patternmaking course requires you to learn some basic sewing skills. You will need to complete a number of garments to gain your qualification.
