The Solemnity of the Body & Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi, is the Church’s annual celebration of the fact that Christ is truly present—body, blood, soul and divinity—in the Eucharist. It is for each Catholic an urgent reminder to continually grow in our reverence and devotion to what Our Lord himself called “The Bread of Life”. When we say “Amen” to “The Body of Christ” we affirm our faith in Jesus presence in Holy Communion. Sadly many, even adults, either do not say Amen at all or say it inaudibly. It should be said clearly and with conviction expressing one’s firm belief in Jesus Christ who is being received at that moment.

June 3, 2018 Dear friends in the Lord: Our baptisms into Christ Jesus and His Church have made all of us missionaries, beginning with our own families and parishes. Like the apostles, we are encouraged to reach out to our brothers and sisters in

faith, love, and sacrifice. Please help build up our mission to the missions by supporting the 2018 Black and Indian Mission Collection! Your support will provide the presence of missionaries in African American, Native American, and Alaska Native missions, schools, and religious education programs. Your participation will place bibles and catechetical materials in the hands of priests, consecrated women and men, and lay leaders in our Black Catholic communities. Your sacrifice also addresses the need to train catechists, permanent deacons, and seminarians for future generations in many of our neighborhoods and backyards.
