Fellowship groups give us the opportunity to sow good things in our lives and relaƟonships. I have seen growth both individually and as a congregaƟon as a direct result of involvement in this ministry. Here are the groups offered this year. Life Skills and Discussion Group: Meets Wednesday evenings 5:30-7:30 pm. This group is open to anyone who wants to be a part. Our focus will be on planning and execuƟng our Wednesday evening meals and life skills / Bible study. We encourage involvement with those visiƟng who are not members. There will be opportuniƟes to serve outside of the group meeƟng Ɵme in encouraging people to set and reach goals. This is a commitment on Wednesdays, but it may include involvement outside of the scheduled meeƟng Ɵmes. Contact: BeƩy Rust or Sean Niestrath Sunday AŌernoon Service Group: Meets primarily 1:30-2:30 pm on Sunday aŌernoons; no meal planned; meet at the build ing or adjusted locaƟon to meet the service project. Three weeks each month will be group study of the Ray Vanderlaan DVD series reviewing the Bible from the perspecƟve of Jewish culture and tradiƟon. The fourth week will be a group service project. Contact: Barry & Elizabeth Webb Sunday Evening Auditorium Group: Meets on Sunday in the auditorium from 6:00—7:00 pm each week. This will be a tradiƟonal worship service with singing, a sermon/class, and the Lord Supper will be offered. Beginning study will be the topic of inspiraƟon, the man Luke, and the Gospel of Luke. The majority of the year will be a study of Acts from the perspec Ɵve “What did it mean to them? / What does it mean to us?” Children are welcome to aƩend with their families. There will be a meal with the encouragement group on the 4th Sunday following service. Contact: Ronny Stubblefield Sunday Evening Encouragement Group: Meets at the area care faciliƟes each week on a rotaƟng schedule. MeeƟng Ɵme is usually 6 pm or around that Ɵme to accommodate the facility. This group meets to offer encouragement to the residents through song and prayer. Everyone is welcome to parƟcipate regardless of their musical talents or age. Contact: Byron PruiƩ Book Discussion Group: Meets the first Sunday each month, Ɵme and place to be set at the first meeƟng. This group will read about one book per month and discuss it from the theological perspecƟve. Members are highly encouraged to invite non-members, “unchurched”, and “de-churched” to meet and parƟcipate. Contact: Sean Niestrath Sunday Bible Study Group: Meets at noon each Sunday in members homes on a rotaƟon schedule. This group chooses a topic or book for study: beginning study will be on “Aging Well” by George Valliant. Target group is middle-aged to reƟrees. x TODAY is our Potluck and Congregational Meeting following services. This was moved from next week due to the holiday weekend. PLEASE stay to help complete packing and moving some last minute items. There will be NO SERVICES TONIGHT!

x New carpet will be installed THIS WEEK! Due to this: * Call if you need to come to the building—Sean, Bryce or I may be in and out based on where they are laying carpet on that day. * There will be NO MEAL or SERVICES on Wednesday, August 27th;; and NO ACTIVITES in the building this week.

x A Note from Gabriella Niestrath: “I would like to thank you all for being so supportive of my trip to Zambia. Your donations are what made this trip possible foe me. I would love for you to continue with me in my mission through my blog posts at http://lovelearnserve.wordpress.com/ Much love from Zambia!” If you would like to communicate with Gabriella while she is on her trip you can do that through facebook or email.

x A Note from Betty Rust: “ Several months ago Sean asked Karen Seesengood and I to serve the meals on Wednesday nights. We are pleased to do this but without the help of everyone it wouldn’t be possible. I just want to say thank you for your monetary donations, food, and prepa-ration of food each week that make the meal possible. This past Wednesday, I was a “little” surprised to get here and see NO dessert! I just went with the flow and got out the ice cream! You all had planned a surprise birthday party for me that included a huge cake, cards, and gifts. Again, I say “THANK YOU” for sharing your love with me this in this way! I am blessed to be part of this family!”

Magi Project - We have some changes this year with Healing Hands International providing free boxes. Please do NOT wrap these boxes. The label for gender and age is printed on both ends of the boxes. Take either the flat pieces of cardboard or the assembled boxes and please fill them with good-ies. (Your own shoeboxes with labels on the end are still great, too.) There are information sheets on the table if you need suggestions for your box. Again this year, you may donate $7.00 per box to cover ship-ping and handling or you may let the yard sale cover these costs. Marvin needs 150 for his congregation and another 50 to go into the mountains as part of their outreach. We sent 165 boxes last year. I think we can complete 200 this year. Thanks in advance from me, from Marvin, and from at least 200 children who will be blessed by God through you. In Him, Elizabeth x “You are invited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jerri & Gail Barber on Saturday, August 30th at 2-4

pm at Berry’s Chapel Church of Christ” in Franklin Tennessee. See the invitation on the bulletin board.
