SPECIAL PRAYERS ORACIONES ESPECIALES

La Santísima Trinidad es el misterio del amor de Dios; del amor más puro y más hermoso del universo. Más aún, es la revelación de un Dios que es el Amor en Persona, según la maravillosa definición que nos hizo san Juan: “Dios es Amor” (I Jn 4, 8). Siempre que nos habla de Sí mismo, se expresa con el lenguaje bello del amor humano. Todo el Antiguo y el Nuevo Testamento son testigos de ello. Dios se compara al amor de un padre bueno y a la ternura de la más dulce de las madres; al amor de un esposo tierno y fiel, de un amigo o de un hermano. Y en el Evangelio, Jesús nos revela a un Padre infinitamente cariñoso y mise-ricordioso: ¡Con qué tonos tan estupendos nos habló siempre de Él! El Buen Pastor que carga en sus hombros a la oveja perdida; el Pa-dre bueno que hace salir su sol sobre justos e injustos, que viste de esplen-dor a las flores del campo y alimenta a los pajarillos del cielo; el Rey que da a su hijo único y lo entrega a la muerte por salvar a su pueblo; o esa maravi-

llosa parábola del hijo pródigo, que nos revela más bien al Padre de las mi-sericordias, “al padre con corazón de madre” -como ha escrito un autor contemporáneo–, con entrañas de ternura y delicadeza infinita. El Espíritu Santo les dará aquello que él, el Mesías, ha dicho y he-cho, de modo particular de su muerte y de su resurrección. A los Apóstoles, incapaces de soportar el escándalo de la pasión de su Maestro, el Espíritu les dará una nueva clave de lectura para introducirles en la verdad y en la belleza del evento de la salvación. Ojalá que todas las veces que nos persignemos y digamos: “En el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo”, lo hagamos con más atención, nos acordemos de que Dios es Amor y de que nos ama infinita-mente; agradezcamos ese amor y vivamos llenos de confianza, de alegría y de felicidad al sabernos sus hijos muy amados.

The Holy Trinity is the Mystery of God's love; Of the purest and most beautiful love in the universe. Moreover, it is the revelation of a god who is love in person, according to the wonderful definition that St. John made to us: "God Is Love" (I Jn 4, 8). Whenever he speaks of himself, he expresses himself with the beautiful language of human love. All the old and New Testaments are witnesses to that. God com-pares himself to the love of a good father and to the tenderness of the sweetest of mothers; To the love of a tender and faithful husband, a friend or a brother. And in the Gospel, Jesus reveals to us an infinitely affection-ate and merciful father: with what great tones he always told us about him! The Good shepherd who burdens the lost sheep on his shoulders; The good father who brings out his sun on righteous and unjust, who wears splendor to the flowers of the field and feeds the birds of the sky; The king who gives his only son and delivers him to death for saving his people; Or

that wonderful parable of the Prodigal Son, who reveals to us rather the father of Mercies, "the father with a mother's heart"-as a contemporary au-thor has written-with entrails of infinite tenderness and delicacy. The Holy Spirit will give them what he, the Messiah, has said and done, in a particular way of his death and his resurrection. To the Apostles, unable to bear the scandal of their master's passion, the spirit will give them a new reading key to introduce them to the truth and beauty of the event of salvation. (Homily by S.S. Let us hope that all the times that we will be distinguished and say: "In the name of the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit", we will do it with more attention, we agree that God is love and that he loves us infinite-ly; Let's thank that love and live full of confidence, joy and happiness to know our beloved children.

Shepherd Field Group _ Holy Land

A Christian Group from Bethlehem in the Holy Land is visiting our church on Saturday and Sun-

day ( June 2 & 3 )

They come to us to sell the olive wood carvings and crafts that are hand made by the Christians in

the Holy Land. This is their main source of income.

We need to support these people by buying their beautiful olive wood carvings and crafts so we

can help Christian families stay in the Holy Land.

Pray for the Christians in the Holy Land and support them so we all can do our part to keep our Christian bells ringing in the Holy Land.
