Christmas at Lifehouse

We were very blessed again this year with a number of donated Christmas gifts for our residents. Several churches and individuals provided games, jewelry, gift cards, exercise equipment, a new printer, scarves, gloves, toys and treats. We even had one of our trustees come lead a Christmas sing-a-long. It means so much to have caring volun-teers and donors - especially during the time that we celebrate our Lord’s birth. Eagle Scout Project Provides a Cheerful Play Area

Eagle Scout candidate, Noah Miller, led his team in creating a cheerful play area in our basement for our resident’s children. Noah, a senior at Trinity High School, has been active with Troop 984 since 6th grade. Noah recognized a need for a fun and safe area for the children to play inside. Noah and his crew of 14 were able to make a huge transformation in the downstairs play area. This included painting the walls a bright blue with white clouds, laying a new padded floor, cleaning the toys and building a fence around the play area.

Thank you, Noah & crew!

Thoughts from some of our residents: “Where would I be without Lifehouse?”

“Maggie” says “God led me to Lifehouse to save not only my child’s life, but mine as well. I don’t even want to consider [where I would be without Lifehouse,] because it would be such an awful quali-ty of life, I’m sure of it. Lifehouse is allowing me to work towards my inde-pendence while being able to save money, learn better habits, further my education, and parent my child. Lifehouse has shaped me mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. It has given me the sup-port and self-confidence to be a parent and a pro-ductive member of society and God’s kingdom. I believed in God before Lifehouse, but had a much different conception of him. I now know a loving, forgiving, all-encompassing Father who has a direc-tion and plan for my future.”

Without Lifehouse, “Josephine” would be a teenaged

mother with a limited future for herself and her

child. She says that Lifehouse helped her make an

adoption plan to secure a promising future for her

child and for herself, and has helped her have self-

acceptance. “I have grown more spiritually by open-

ing up to Jesus about my thoughts and emotions”.

Sprucing Up Lifehouse!

Thank you to all the participants, sponsors and volunteers who made our First Annual Lifehouse Golf Scramble a huge success!

Welcome Aboard! We are pleased to introduce the newest member

of our team at Lifehouse: Cyndy Stevenson.

“I am very thankful for this opportunity to be work-

ing at Lifehouse as a Housemom. I have been mar-

ried to my hard working husband, Larry, for 33 years.

I was able to be a stay at home mom for 31 years for

our six children. I also home schooled them through

the eighth grade, which I did for 21 years. We have

been blessed with nine grandchildren, and many

more to come. I love being a Nana! I also love knit-

ting and crocheting toys and blankets for them.

I love serving the Lord! I can't wait each day to see

what he has in store for me.”

Thank You!

“Thank you” to Piping Layout Consultants, Inc for their day of service! In October, they brought a small army and worked all day on several pro-jects, both inside and outside. They repaired various things, installed cabinet latches, painted offices, cleaned, trimmed trees & shrubs, laid sod, and hauled away trash – and donated lawn equipment as well! Wow!

Thank You!

Thank you to the “Women Who Wine for a Cause” for your generous support! We were doubly blessed because The Olive Branch Foundation matched the amount raised by WWW4C.

Thank you!
