Why I want to become a sailor?

My name is Maksim Gulyaev. I’m a student of the 11’th form, and I have a difficult choice: whom I’ll be in the future?

Today’s world of jobs• Today’s world of jobs offers us new challenges.

There is an increase in the variety of different jobs nowadays. Such jobs as Djs, web and interior designers, machine operators, have appeared recently. Besides as a result of technological advances traditional patterns of work are changing rapidly.

• There are many professions in the world and everyone has a choice. But I think that true men have to choose is truly a male profession.

Why is the problem so pressing?

• The choice of the future profession is a very delicate topic. The problem is really rather urgent and acute because you have very little time to solve it. And making the wrong decision can result in many troubles in future.

Reasons for work• People work for 2 sets of

reasons: extrinsic (for a wage, to earn money) and intrinsic (for the interest and enjoyment of the job, for the companionship, for the status and the sense of identity).

I have chosen a profession of a sailor. Like any other profession, the profession of a sailor has its advantages and disadvantages.

Advantages of my profession:

This profession will give me a lot of money and I will be able to provide my family.

• Secondly, if I would be a sailor I can travel the world and see a lot of different cities and countries.

And thirdly, it's a profession gives me the opportunity to get acquainted with a large number of people, to learn many foreign languages and develop my knowledge.

Disadvantages of my profession:I think that the profession of a sailor has only one disadvantage. It is a long separation from family and the infinite longing for friends and relatives.

I hope that I will be able to overcome all the difficulties and will make good sailor!
