CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE! This summer, the camps at the Y are putting the “tradition” back in Traditional Camp. Activities may include archery, arts & crafts, hiking, fort building, skits, environmental education, and so much more! Traditional camps are available for campers ages 3-15 (separated by age groups) at over 20 locations across Indianapolis! Come to Traditional Camp for the classic summer camp experience.

SPORTS CAMP

YMCA Sports Camps help children develop tools and techniques, while learning the value of sportsmanship. Camps will include drills, skill development, learning the rules of the game, and scrimmages in a non-competitive environment. Sports Camps are designed for all skill levels. These camps are not only about learning to play the sport, but learning to love it! All equipment is provided.

ENRICHMENT CAMP

Looking to explore something new at camp this summer? Enrichment Camps offer opportunities to try something you’ve never tried before! From molding works of clay with artists to jumping on trampolines at Sky Zone, there is an Enrichment Camp for everyone! Approximately three hours of each camp day will consist of Enrichment Camp curriculum. The remainder of the camp day is comprised of Traditional Camp activities.

While all camps run from 6:30am-6:00pm, exact schedules may vary. Activity rotations may include: Outdoor Education, Arts & Crafts, Swimming, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), Team Building, Physical Activity, Group Games, and Summer Reading. Please contact your YMCA for more information.

Preschool Campers are also asked to bring a change of clothes, along with a blanket and pillow for nap time, if preferred!


GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL Discover the world of Pokemon! This camp will explore the different types of Pokemon, ways to battle, and how to become the best trainer. Please do not bring cards, electronics, or other Pokemon materials from home.

HIP HOP DANCE Come learn new and exciting hip hop moves in this fun dance camp with choreography and routines that will help you be the hit of the dance floor! ICE HOCKEY We will venture to an ice rink to learn the ins and outs of the sport! Please pack long pants and long sleeve shirts to wear during skate times.

JEWELRY MAKING Want to learn how to design and create your own jewelry? Campers will make bracelets, earrings, and necklaces using a variety of materials. Express yourself through accessorizing!

JR. LIFEGUARD This camp will help campers learn and safely utilize lifeguard skills, including guarding techniques and observing demonstrations of rescues. A unique camp for your camper who is thinking about future summer employment! Campers will not be certified lifeguards.

KIDS VS. WILD In this survival-style camp, we will experience what it is like to have engaging (and friendly) competition combined with outdoor education skills. We’ll enjoy puzzles, games, and outdoor education!

LASER TAG Venture with us to a local arcade facility to enjoy the experience of playing laser tag games and competing in tournaments.

LEGO This camp is for those who LOVE to build with LEGO bricks! This educational camp takes physical science and building concepts and applies them in a fun, architectural way. MAD SCIENTIST Mad Scientist camp transforms laboratory science into fun and provides new ways to learn about STEM, all without the fancy lab equipment.

ENRICHMENT CAMPS NINJA WARRIOR Do you have what it takes to be the next YMCA ninja warrior? Join us for a week of parkour and obstacle courses!

ART FUSION This camp will explore different forms of art using a variety of materials and canvases. Creativity will flourish in this camp!

BOUNCE U Join us for a week of games, excitement and daily trips to Bounce U. This is a great way to unwind for the summer!

BOWLING This camp is perfect for those wanting to improve their bowling technique. Campers will spend half the day working on skills at a local bowling alley.

CAN YOU BUILD IT? Looking for a great STEM based summer camp? This camp will use objects from around the house and camp to accomplish everyday tasks. Each day campers will learn basic engineering principles in a fun and engaging way!

CARTOONIVERSE Dive into a world of cartoons! This camp will tap into your creativity and teach the fundamentals of animation artistry. We’ll learn all about how to create our very own cartoons!

CRAFTING CODES In this camp, we will use technology to learn the basics of coding. Kids will work in teams to create digital projects and focus on the fundamentals of coding.

CSI Search for evidence and clues, and discover how science can help solve a mystery. See how detectives and forensic teams use science to solve crimes.

DUCT TAPE CREATIONS There are thousands of duct tape creations just waiting to be made! Get the chance to create wallets, flowers, and more!

EQUESTRIAN Join us as we travel to a stable and learn to ride and care for horses. Please wear closed-toe shoes, and pack long pants and helmets.

MARTIAL ARTS Join Crouching Tigers for a week of martial arts that offers more than kicking, as the curriculum was created to incorporate the YMCA’s Core Values throughout the week. The camp ends with a board breaking ceremony!

MASTER CHEF Calling all chefs! This camp will be one big, friendly, cooking competition. We will cook every day and learn basic culinary skills. Join us for an amazing cooking camp experience.

MESSY ART Create messy and fun abstract paintings or a sticky collage of art materials while learning about different painting tools and uncommon items used to create messy works of art.

MINI GOLF Swing away in this fun camp for all! Learn the basics of mini golf and work towards getting a hole in one!

POP STARS Have you ever wanted a star in Hollywood? Join us for a week where you learn the skills to be a true pop star today!

POTTERY Here’s your chance to create wonderful works of art by hand! Campers will explore the tools, techniques, and processes needed to work with clay. Some projects are made from scratch, so creativity is greatly encouraged. All skill levels are welcome.

PRINCESS IN TRAINING Calling all princesses! Join us for a magical week of sparkles and surprises as we learn what it takes to be a princess!

RISE OF THE MINIONS Bee-Do! Bee-Do! This camp will be filled with specialized Minion challenges, games, crafts, and much more! Learn all about the Minion Language and get the chance to create your own Camp Minion.

ROBOTICS Have you ever wanted to build your own robot? NOW YOU CAN! In this camp, we will experience several types of robotics and learn the mechanics behind working with them. This camp is fun and hands-on!

ROCK CLIMBING Join us as we scale walls and develop our climbing skills! Please be aware that guardians are required to sign an additional waiver for this camp.

ROCKETRY Travel to the moon and back in Rocketry Camp! This camp will teach the mechanics and fun behind rockets. The camp will also include several demonstrations and hands-on building.

SHOW CHOIR If you have a passion for singing and performing, join us for Show Choir Camp! This week will feed your inner performer while you learn the basics of performing. From learning songs to the basics of choreography, campers will work towards a Friday performance for parents!

SKY ZONE Jump for the sky in this extremely popular camp! Jump every day for at least two hours while getting instruction from Sky Zone staff. Be ready for a week of extreme fun and excitement! Please be aware that guardians are required to sign an additional waiver for this camp.

SUPER SECRET AGENTS Shh! We’re going on a secret mission! Join us for a week of secretive, sneaky fun! Work with fellow sleuth campers to solve mysteries and keep trouble away from camp!

SUPERHERO VS. VILLAIN Do you have a favorite superhero or villain? Join us for a week of good vs. evil through games, crafts, and more. Costumes are encouraged each day.

THE FORCE AWAKENS May the force be with you… at camp! This week includes camp games, art projects, and other activities specially designed for this week of Star Wars themed camp. Come discover your inner Jedi!

THE OLYMPIAD Whether you love the opening ceremonies or seeing all of the different sports, we’ll explore the Summer and Winter Olympics this week at camp. Be ready for some fun games and friendly competitions!

WATER WARS Join us for a week of wet and wild fun! We will have one big week full of water and competition as we beat the heat!

WEEKLY DEPOSIT In order to reserve a space in the camp(s) of your choice, a minimum $10 non-refundable/non-discountable deposit is required for each week each child is registered for camp. Please note your child is not registered until a deposit is received. Outstanding balances must be paid by 8:00 pm on the Tuesday before the camp week begins. Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in the loss of the camp reservation and deposit.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. We believe all children should have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Financial assistance makes summer day camp available to those kids in need.

PUT ON YOUR RUNNING SHOES! YMCA CITY-WIDE TRACK & FIELD MEETAll children ages 4-15 are invited to particpate in the city-wide Track & Field Meet on June 17th and compete against others from all around the city.

Events include short distance sprints, long distance runs, relays, long jump, and shot put. Children will also be encouraged to participate in track practices at your Y, prior to the event. Please contact your YMCA Camp Director or Sports Director for more details.
