China has beautiful geography and landscapes. Mountains, hills, and high lands cover the land of China. Rivers flow in all directions. Lakes ripple. Some lakes are really long, like the Yellow River is 3,000 miles long and floods each year. Mountains rise like the Himalayas which is not ideal for farming since it’s too high and crops cannot survive.

The Yangtze RiverThe Yangtze , the longest

river in China and Asia , is the third longest river in the world next to the Amazon and the Nile.

The Yangtze River is dying. It’s getting shorter and shorter each day. Some people have seen it turn blood red. Some scientists say this happened because animals that die near the river pollute it.

on the base of the mountains and make mountains an ideal place to plant crops. The people carve in the mountains and put water in the ‘steps ‘ so the plants can grow.
