Children’s Day

Children's Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children. In 1925, International Children's Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare. In China, this special day is celebrated on June 1 every year.

Children's Day is celebrated to honor children globally aiming at protecting them from working long hours in dangerous circumstances and allowing access to rightful education. Children’s Day is where children are celebrated and recognized for their individuality and importance.

In most countries, Children’s Day has a theme like playing outside, eating healthy, or being kind. This way, students are considered to understand the meaning of the holiday and its underlying purpose while learning something new. Our teachers agreed on the theme “Sharing Our Childhood” and decided on the best toys and games of yesterday - old fashioned tin wind-up toys as the symbolic gifts to every child. Some of our teachers taught the children to play their childhood game.
