Re: FY17 First Quarter Tuition for Charter, Contract, ALOP Payments
As many of you know, CPS faces daunting financial challenges and cash flow constraints due to
the delay and lack of state funding.
As a result of this uncertainty, CPS will not be able to fund the FY2017 first quarter charter,contract and ALOP tuition and Supplemental General State Aid payments according to the
original schedule. The first quarter payment will be paid in three payments in the months of July,
August, and September.
Based on the 2016-2017 school calendar, August 24 is the first day that neighborhood schools
will open and CPS personnel will be expected to work. The above revised payment schedule isdependent on an August 24 start date.
