Introduction

• 83% of the products are manufactured by micro-scale companies.

• Dependent on imports: 70% of the chemical raw materials used are imported.

• Domestic petrochemicals production capacity can meet only 31% of the domestic

demand.

• For logistics reasons, most of the companies are located in coastal regions

(Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean regions).
