The CTES College of Architecture in Chembur, Mumbai was established in July 2014 by the Chembur Trombay Education Society. The Chembur Trombay Education Society was formed in 1978, and has been running a College of Arts, Science and Commerce as well as several other disciplines. It is the only College of Architecture in the Eastern Suburbs.

1. The CTES College of Architecture aspires to be a Premier Institution in the field of Architectural Education, which will encompass the related disciplines impacting the Built Environment.

2. It is a Centre for Excellence in imparting Skills, Knowledge and Wisdom to make young Men and Women responsible Professionals in a fast progressing Society. High Standards in Academic pursuits will be strived for, which can be applied in actual practice.

3. There is a focus on Holistic Understanding of the Habitat needs of all sections of society, through studying the Social, Cultural, Economic and Environmental characteristics.

4. Humane and Sustainable Design is emphasized keeping in mind the Global view on the Environment as well as Local tradition , Climate, Ecology and Economy. The Curriculum incorporates various related and relevant subjects that will go beyond the conventional, and offers a wide choice.

5. It provides a platform for Dialogue between the various related Disciplines and Professionals, National and International, as also between Professionals and the general Public, thus creating greater awareness of the role and importance of the Profession. Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions and Conferences is regularly organized for the benefit of the Students as well as the Community.

6. It will be a Centre for Research, Documentation and Dissemination of Knowledge of the Built Environment. Public Oriented Projects will be taken up by the Institute.

7. Set in Chembur, with its History and Culture, the School engages itself with the community and plays a significant role in the development of a vision for the betterment of the citizens.

Course StructureCTESCOA offers a five year degree programme of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), recognized by the Council of Architecture (COA) and the University of Mumbai. Outside the Classroom

Our students have been participating in various sports competitions in and around Mumbai. Our sports facilities include a turf pitch for Football and Cricket, and a gymkhana in the campus.We have also been engaging with a local BMC School and have painted the walls of the School.Students life in the campus also comprises organising Exhibitions and the Annual Festival ‘Archinova’ and programs for Foundation day.Other events like Freshers day & Navratri are an also organized at CTESCOA

The scope of knowledge and exposure at CTESCoA extends beyond the academic

Outside the Classroom

Our students have been participating in various sports competitions in and around Mumbai. Our sports facilities include a turf pitch for Football and Cricket, and a gymkhana in the campus.We have also been engaging with a local BMC School and have painted the walls of the School.Students life in the campus also comprises organising Exhibitions and the Annual Festival ‘Archinova’ and programs for Foundation day.Other events like Freshers day & Navratri are an also organized at CTESCOA

The scope of knowledge and exposure at CTESCoA extends beyond the academic

boundaries and into cultural events, intercollegiate sports, architectural festivals

and other opportunities that provide immense networking and learning to

develop as a professional in this field of designing.

I) EligibilityŸ The candidate should be an Indian national.Ÿ No candidate, with less than 50% marks in aggregate, shall be

admitted to the architecture course unless she / he has passed an examination at the end of the new 10+2 scheme of Senior Certificate Examination or equivalent with Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.

Ÿ The Candidate should have obtained at least 40% marks at National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), conducted by the Council of Architecture

II) Documents to be submittedŸ Application formŸ SSC (Std.X) mark sheetŸ HSC/Diploma/B.Sc. mark sheetŸ NATA mark sheetŸ School Leaving CertificateŸ Certificate of Indian Nationality

III) Fee Structure per yearAppx. Rs. 1,30,000

IV) Attendance RequirementA student whose attendance is less than 75% for the course is not eligible to appear for the end semester examination for that course.

Equipped with chairs with writing pads, Public Address system & projection facility.

With drafting tables, Stools, Lockers, Projection facility & Public Address system.

Over 40 computers equipped with AutoCAD 17, Revit, 3DMax, SketchUpMake, Photoshop & Microsoft Office.

Open access library over 850 books, 200 e-books & Digital archive of Guest Lectures, Computers and Printer.

Used enthusiastically by all students. The machines are used during carpentry elective, for making models and installations.

With a display of architectural and interior building materials, structural members, sanitary fixtures & construction tools

Auditorium with seating capacity of 300 persons.

Ÿ Candidates shall apply through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted ONLINE by the Competent Authority Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)

Ÿ The Online Application form has to be confirmed and documents have to be verified at the facilitation centre by the candidate.
