COURTANDOFFICEHOURS
1.
AllJudgesshallsitinCourtduringthehoursprescribedbyparagraphs2and3forthedisposalofjudicialbusiness.
AdministrativeworkshallordinarilybedoneoutsideCourthours,butifonanydaytheBoardbreaksdown(suchoccasionshouldberare),theJudgeshouldcontinuetoworkfortherestofthedayintheCourtpremisesandutilisethetimeinwritingjudgmentsandattendingtoadministrativematters.

(i)IntheSmallCauseCourt,Bombay,andinCourtsintheDistrictsofAkola,Amravati,
Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Nagpur, Wardha, Yavatmal,
Nandeed,Osmanabad,ParbhaniandDadraandNagarHaveli,SilvasatheCourthoursshallbefrom11a.m.to2p.m.andfrom3p.m.to5p.m.OnallCourtworkingSaturdays,theCourthoursoftheSmallCausesCourt,Bombayshallbefrom11.00a.m.to2.00p.m.andforurgentjudicialwork,twoJudgesshallworkupto5.00p.m.

TheCourthoursofParbhaniDistrictshallbefrom11.30a.m.And3.00p.m.To5.00p.m.
(ii)Inallotherdistricts,theCourthoursshallbefrom1130a.m.to230p.m.andfrom330to530p.m.
(iii)Theofficehours inall
DistrictsintheStateofMaharashtraincludingtheCourtofSmallCausesatBombayandtheCourtsinDadraandNagarhaveli,Silvassa,shall
be from 10.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. with half an hour recess (excluding
inferiorGovernmentServants).
(iv)SofarastheinferiorGovernmentServantsareconcerned,inallDistrictsandtheCourtofSmallCauses,Bombay,theOfficehoursshallbefrom9.30a.m.to6.00p.m.
(v)MuslimemployeesofGovernment,iftheyaskforpermissiontoleaveoffice
tosaytheirJummaPrayers,shouldbeallowedtotaketheirlunchrecessonFridaysatthetimeconvenienttothem."

TheDistrictJudgemay,withthepreviouspermissionoftheHighCourt,alterthehoursprescribedbyparagraph2foranyCourtinhisDistrict,butsoasnottoreducethetotalnumberofworkinghoursintheweek.

Ordinarily,alljudicialmattersshouldbedisposedofinopenCourt.

PersonsattendingCourtsandevenwitnessestakingtheoathshouldbeallowedtokeepontheirfootwear.
Thepublicshouldhaveaccessto,orremainin,theroomorthebuildingusedbyaCourt,exceptwhenthePresidingJudgethinksitfitinanyparticularcase,toexcludeeitherthepublicgenerallyoranyparticularperson.
Thegroundsfordoingsoshould,however,berecordedintheRoznama.

ThePresidingOfficerofCourtsareauthorisedtosuspendworkforabouthalfanhourortostandinsilenceforaminuteortwoafterasuitablereferencehasbeenmadewhenaprominentlocallawyerpassesawayandwhenarequestforsuspensionofworkismadetotheCourt.
