We are looking forward to the initiation of the Gamma Upsilon pledge class on April 30, 2016.
Professional Development
Some of our alumni have generously assisted us in conducting résumé and portfolio workshops this semester. We would like to thank Chris Jones for organizing the event and Hunter Bristow, Phil Buckberg, and Michele LeTourneur for taking time to help us prepare ourselves for the career search.
National Involvement
It is a goal of our chapter to become more involved with our brothers from other chapters. Through taking a road trip down to help with the colony installation at the University of Tennessee, we are beginning to meet that goal. We hope to meet many more of you over the next few years!

Philanthropy
At Virginia Tech, our university motto is Ut Prosim, which means That I May Serve. Our brotherhood lives out Ut Prosim in the Blacksburg community through annual participation at Virginia Tech’s Relay for Life, which is the largest collegiate Relay in the world, and The Big Event, which pairs up groups of volunteers (like us!) with local service projects. This semester we hosted a silent auction to give back to our college community.
Social Events
A few fall semester events have become traditions in our chapter. Each fall we take a group hike on one of the local trails, take a trip to the pumpkin patch (and then unleash our creativity in the pumpkins’ demise), and celebrate the holidays with tacky outfits and a gift exchange. We also participate in multiple intramural sports like volleyball, kickball, softball, and innertube water polo. Our 2016 White Rose celebration will be held on April 2 in Blacksburg. More details are to come.
