completed 18th AnnualWACCY Golf Outing at theHoneywell Golf Course inWabash. One hundredfourty-three golfersparticipated in this year's twoflight, best ball scramble,networking event. Congratulations go toCrossroads Bank's team ofJarrod McKee, RogerCromer, Scott Bumgardner,and Matt Stone, who won themorning flight with a score of56. The J.M. Reynolds Co.team of Chris Reynolds,Mike Cornwell, Ron Reynolds, and Dan Chenowith were winnersof the afternoon flight with a score of 55. This also qualified themas the day's overall winning team who will receive the travelingtrophy, a free entry in the Logansport/Cass County Chamber GolfOuting and bragging rights for the year.
Second place finishers were theWabash County REMC team in themorning flight, with a score of 59 andthe Bulldog Battery Corporationteam in the afternoon with a score of58. Taking third place were theStaffing Resources team in themorning flight and Perry Pro-Tech

Winners of the skill games for the morning flight were LongestDrive-Men - Austin Hess, Longest Putt - Greg Cornell, andClosest to the Pin - Robert Graf. The afternoon winners wereLongest Drive-Men - Zac Coleman, Longest Drive-Women -
Sherry Elward, Closest 2nd Shot - Tom Wright, and Closest tothe Pin - Chris Reynolds. Scratch-Off Golf provided an additional opportunity for attendeesto come out a winner. Prize packageswere offered for both flights. Firstplace for both flights won a fire pitwith smore items, toasting forks, cornpopper, popping corn and seasoning. Jolleen Schemenaur won the morningflight with Amy Ancil winning theafternoon. Second place for bothflights won a 50 qt. cooler on wheels, (4) beach towels and toys,(4) cups and koozies, and (2) 12-packs of pop. Emily Gardnerwon the morning flight with Scott Burcroff winning the afternoon. Third place won a 12 qt. cooler, 8-pack of pop, popcorn,seasoning, and (4) 12-24 Drive-In tickets. Amy Ancil won themorning flight with Jami Bartel winning the afternoon. International work place researcher Jack Wiley joining
Manchester University faculty
Jack Wiley, internationally recognized for groundbreaking research linking employee engagement to
business performance, will join the faculty of Manchester University in the fall.
As Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Dr. Wiley will teach Industrial-Organizational Psychology
and involve MU students and faculty in his ongoing research, said Dean Glenn Sharfman, vice
president for academic affairs.
Wiley, with more than 35 years in the field, is author of the book,RESPECT, Delivering Results by
Giving Employees What They Really Want. He is an international keynote speaker and consultant to

organizations in health care products, financial services, manufacturing
and retail.
He founded and led Kenexa High Performance Institute, developing
research that links employee survey results to measures of business
performance. Wiley has returned home to Wabash County and lives near
La Fontaine, 25 miles south of the North Manchester campus. That
created an opportunity for Manchester University, which invited him to
speak at an academic convocation last fall.

Thank you for your support of the 2013-2014 Leadership Development Wabash
County Program!
Leadership Development Wabash County offered an outstanding course of study tolearn leadership skills and apply those skills at work and through community servicewithin Wabash County. The course offered participants the chance to learn about resources available inWabash County, to network with other Wabash County business professionals, andto enhance their leadership and communication skills. The participants touredseveral businesses in Wabash County, as well as participated in community serviceprojects. The course was open to anyone in Wabash County but was especiallybeneficial to those new in the community, young professionals, recently promotedstaff members, and anyone looking to assume leadership in communityorganizations. Topics of study included StrengthsQuest, DISC Leadership Assessment, education,leadership styles, ethics, motivating others, and technology. Each class featuredinstruction on one of these topics and a panel discussion with community leaders.
