ear ColleaguesIt is a great pleasure to invite you to Leipzig for the 15th EuropeanMeeting on Laparoscopic and Robotic Urologic Surgery –“Challenges in Laparoscopy and Robotics”.

The world’s most renowned surgeons will perform a wide spectrum of themost challenging examples of urological procedures such as prostatectomy,cystectomy with urinary diversion and partial nephrectomy as well as innovativeprocedures such as robotic assisted kidney transplantation.

The live surgery component will always include 3 procedures being performed inparallel. Every procedure can be followed from start to finish! For the first timethe program will be further enriched by semi-live video presentations anddiscussion of complications of selected procedures.

Furthermore, late breaking news about the latest innovations in robotic surgeryand technology will be included in the program and exhibition. Leipzig is ahistorical city (more than 1000 years old) with a rich cultural and commercialprofile. Major classical music composers have lived and flourished here. TheLeipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Saint Thomas boys’ choir are worldfamous. In addition, major car industries (Porsche and BMW) produce severalof their lines in Leipzig.

We are delighted to invite all delegates to our ‘Get Together Dinner’ whichwill be organized in the extraordinary Porsche exhibition centre. Clothing During the entire meeting, attire will be informal.

Climate June is warm in Leipzig and is the perfect time to visit and see all that the city has to offer. The average temperature during the day reaches 20°C or about 60°F, but average highs are 23°C (that’s about 74°F). At night the lows average 16°C (about 61°F).
