Challenge
Section 608 of the EPA Clean Air Act requires organizations that operate commercial refrigeration systems to meticulously calculate, track, and report the leakage of ODS (ozone-depleting substances) cooling fluids. Doing so is cumbersome, time-consuming, and expensive. Not doing so can result in the EPA issuing fines of up to $37,500 per day for any violation of these regulations.
