last years totaland we still have someoutstanding pledges. Thank you to all ofyou who have committed yourselves to thechurch for 2011. You have made and willmake a difference in the lives of many. Ana quick reminder to others who have yet tocommit, there is still time.

Jerry and I often comment to one an-other how lucky we feel to be a part of suca wonderful and dynamic congregation.God has certainly blessed us on our jour-neys to bring us to this place. Thank you.

Meanwhile, get ready to start writing2011 on your checks, because its rightaround the corner.

2011. Sounds likea futuristic kind ofdate, doesnt it?But the truth is thatits only 47 days

away from Sunday.Hard to believe. Itseems at though theolder I get, the fastertime flies. Friendsthat are older thanI am tell me that it

    only gets worse. Hmm.

Each year, several churches in Edmond combine efforts to host a Community ThanksgivingDinner. This shared meal is for anyone, but provides a special sense of community for sin-gles, lonely college students, those far from family members, and others. The 2010 dinner

will be held Thursday, November 25 from 11am to 3pm at the University of CentralOklahoma in the George Nigh Center. First Christian plays an active role in supporting thisdinner. There are several ways for you to be involved:

    1) Donate food items (display of items needed in rotunda)2) Contribute money to purchase food3) Volunteer to work prior to the event, or on Thanksgiving

Register to help online at www.fccedmond.org/thanksgiving or drop bythe display table in the rotunda.

Even though time flies, I lookforward to the future. It is full of pos-sibilities and opportunities. Especiallyhere at the church. Our future is verybright. I feel that especially on the

heels of our Annual Campaign. It wasa positive experience for so many ofus to hear compelling stories of howthe church and giving to God hasinfluenced peoples lives.

The final numbers are not inyet for the campaign for our budgetfor 2011, but so far we are ahead of
