Chadag  Mohan  Network  of  Aquaculture    Centres  in  Asia  Pacific  India  Dr.  Chadag  Mohan  is  the  research  and  development  program  manager  for  the  Network  of  Aquaculture  Centres  in  Asia-­‐Pacific  and  coordinates  its  AquaAc  Animal  Health  Program.    He  holds  a  doctorate  in  aquaAc  animal  pathology  from  the  University  of  SArling’s  InsAtute  of  Aquaculture  and  is  a  fish  pathology  professor  at  the  College  of  Fisheries  in  Mangalore,  India,  where  he  is  also  involved  with  aquaculture  research.    He  is  also  chairman  of  the  Fish  Health  SecAon  of  the  Asian  Fisheries  Society.

NACA’s  Response  to  EMS/AHPNS  

•   Avoiding  high  risk  pracAces  (live  feeds;  co-­‐culAvaAon,  unregulated  movement)  

•   ImplemenAng  pathogen  exclusion  pracAces  (SPF  broodstock,  water  treatment  e.g.,  filtraAon,  disinfecAon)  

•   Reduce  stress  in  producAon  pracAces  •   Employ  disease  containment  pracAces  (good  sanitaAon,  bird  neang)
