Fundamentals of Manufacturing, Third Edition, by Philip D. Rufe, CMfgE, is the recommended review book for the Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) exam. Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE) Requirements Professionals who earn a CMfgE demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices. Pursuing a CMfgE certification requires a minimum of eight years of combined manufacturing-related education and/or work experience, including a minimum of four years of work experience.
