A Message From Your Principal - LEADER IN ME FAMILY NIGHT on May 17th!

Hello Central Elementary Families! Spring is here and another school year is ying by very quickly! When we think of spring, we think of new growth and it’s a wonderful time of year to celebrate the academic growth and awesome accomplishments of our Central students! In our second year as a Leader in Me school, our students and staff have continued to synergize their efforts in creating a positive school culture that celebrates the strengths and abilities of all students. We’re excited to be hosting another FAMILY NIGHT on Friday, May 17th from 5:30pm-7:30pm and our Tiger Cubs are eager to share what they have been learning about personal initiative and goal setting to plan their academic success. Our second annual LEADER IN ME FAMILY NIGHT will include the following festivities:

FREE Cookout for our Central Families sponsored by PTO! Please RSVP by Friday, May 10th to assist us with food planning and preparation. We request the quantity of family members attending and choice of either a Hamburger or Hotdog. Drinks and side dishes will be provided too! THANK YOU for clicking on the link below to complete the RSVP form. We will Picnic outdoors weather permitting! Please plan to bring along your blankets and/or lawn chairs. If we have a rainy day we’ll eat inside in the Café, Media Center and Gymnasium where performances will be located. Live Performances by our Central student leaders following the picnic! Classroom tours where students will share what they have learned about WIG’s (Wildy Important Goals) and their growth in the 7 Habits this school year.

Central's Collection for Life Centers We wanted to share the results of the Central collection for Life Centers. Here is a nice message from the Life Centers representative. "Ms. Fields took the picture of some members of Student Council (plus Selah!) helping to load the supplies. Then the second picture is everything collected – wow! Central students did such a great job! Because of their generosity, we are well-stocked on bottles, paciers, teethers, burp cloths, washcloths, onesies, receiving blankets, books, and all kinds of other items for our baby bundles! Thank you to Central Families for helping our organization to continue to serve families with babies in Boone County!"

Library Books If your child receives a notice about an overdue library book, please help him or her search for the book(s). If you have any questions or concerns about a missing book, please email Mrs. Moyer directly at [email protected] or send the notice back to school with a note from you. Mistakes do happen and sometimes books get reshelved before check-in or misplaced here at school. If you are not sure if you have one on le and you have a school activity coming up, please call the Central oce at 765- 482-2000 to ensure you have one on le for this year. Lost and Found With the end of the year right around the corner it is the perfect time to have your student check the lost and found for any missing items. There are hats, gloves, sweatshirts, jackets, snow pants, snow boots, lunch boxes and many other misc. items. Any unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the school year.
