Central Tiger Tales A Leader in Me School - January 2019 A Message From Your Principal - Our New Tiger Cub! Dear Central Families, January has brought some extreme winter chills our way, but our Central staff and students are just getting warmed up this semester as we continue to expand opportunities for our students to earn positive rewards for their excellent efforts here at Central. As you may recall, TIGER PAWS are tickets that are awarded to students in recognition of their positive citizenship supporting the 7 Habits each and every day throughout the school year. Students have the option of selecting from a menu of reward items as they collect tickets. In February, we will be adding yet another fun opportunity for students to enjoy as we continue to expand our PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Supports) system at Central. PBIS is a proactive approach in developing a positive school culture and supporting social, emotional and academic success! Periodically in the months ahead, we will have a drawing to select a student’s name that will earn the chance to take home a stuffed TIGER CUB for the weekend. If they are the lucky student whose name is drawn, the Tiger Cub will travel home with the selected student for an entire weekend, and travel back, in a “special backpack”. A special Composition Notebook will also accompany the backpack for the selected student to write a story (A Tiger Tale!) detailing all of the adventures that happened to ( insert name of Tiger Cub here!). And our Central kids will be helping us to name the TIGER CUB too! We’re looking forward to reading about the fun and exciting travels of our Central Tiger Cub throughout this semester as our students share their stories! Thank you for supporting us in this PBIS opportunity. Becky Outcalt Principal Meet Central's SRO, Officer Wayne Loney! Ocer Loney was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana.
