Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII)Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) is an Apex level National institute started in 1983. EDII believes that an “Entrepreneur need not be born but can be developed.” With this belief, EDII has been the spearhead of Entrepreneurship Development in India through Education, Training and Research in Entrepreneurship. EDII has been developing Entrepreneurship among various target groups such as Rural Youth, Rural Women, Urban Youth and Women, college students, employees, and at the same time, has been developing Trainers and Motivators in Entrepreneurship among the college faculty members, NGO Personnel and Government Officers. Being a proud associate of UN-ESCAP, through which EDII has been actively assisting the countries of South East Asia, Africa, the Arab League and South America to develop Entrepreneurship. IFIM-EDII Certification Program India is emerging as an empowering platform for start-ups. Business schools in specific are preparing grounds for the budding management students to experiment with their entrepreneurial skills. Despite a largely encouraging atmosphere, the number of top B-Schools focusing on nurturing entrepreneurs is very limited. To bridge this gap, IFIM in collaboration with EDII Ahmedabad is offering a Graduate Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship Management for all the young talents who inspire to be entrepreneurs.

The Center of Excellence – Entrepreneurship Development at IFIM, in collaboration with EDII has designed a comprehensive course to provide practical insights on entrepreneurship. The EDII faculty will deliver the course in partnership with faculty at IFIM and will be using the well-planned infrastructure provided by the institute. The primary objectives of the course are to nurture the entrepreneurial mindset of the students and bring forth the entrepreneur in them.

Keeping in mind the need of the hour, IFIM institutions has launched the Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurship Development which focuses on contributing to the entrepreneurship ecosystem in line with its mission. The Center is responsible for developing courses and curriculum that support students inclined towards entrepreneurship. The Center offers specialization and core courses in entrepreneurship for the PGDM students in addition to certificate courses in collaboration with EDII. The center is closely working with national entrepreneurship network and other members of the entrepreneurship ecosystem to add value to the students affiliated with the institute. The center is also setting up an incubation center to provide a supporting ecosystem for nurturing young entrepreneurs. With strong intellectual faculty base and an exceptional corporate connect, IFIM is a perfect habitat for young entrepreneurs to experiment and reap success from their entrepreneurial capabilities.

Program DurationThe certificate program will be delivered in 40 hours of Classroom inputs over 6 months.

Evaluation and CertificationCertification of the students will be based on Evaluation of the students with objective type test along with the submission of Business Plan. Students will earn a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship Management from EDIIin addition to certification from IFIM on successful completion of the program.
