Engineer Mahendra Raj: With a portfolio of over 250 projects and a career spanning nearly six decades, from Indian Independence to the time of this paper's writing, there is no simple explanation for who Raj works with or how he works with them. Each project displays a different facet of how Raj works with architects. The first was Raj's close collaboration with Pritzker laureate, Balkrishna Doshi: Tagore Memorial Hall in Ahmedabad, completed in 1965. Second, the Hall of Nations and Halls of Industries, designed with Raj Rewal and Kuldip Singh, and completed in 1972 in New Delhi.

Last, the Hindon River Mills, designed with Kanvinde and Rai, and built in 1973 in Ghaziabad. Each project shows a visionary engineering solution where the structure makes a bold statement and becomes integral to the architecture.

Rohit Raj Mehndiratta graduated from School of Architecture CEPT, Ahmedabad, India with a distinction in his thesis and received a SMArchS (Masters of Science in Architecture Studies) degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T) in 2002. Since 2007, he has started his own consultancy firm called Studio VanRo in partnership with Vandini Mehta.

Vandini Mehta received her undergraduate degree from School of Architecture CEPT, Ahmedabad, India (1997) & an MS in Architecture from University of California, Berkeley, USA with a specialization in Environmental design in developing countries. She also spent a semester at RMIT, Melbourne, Australia on an exchange study. She is also an accredited LEED professional (a US Green Building Council accreditation). Since 2007, she has started her own consultancy firm called Studio VanRo in partnership with Rohit Raj Mehndiratta.

The conference shall be followed by The AESA AWARDS 2020 CEREMONY from 6:00 pm onwards which is followed by the Fellowship Dinner.

Please note that a separate registration is needed to attend the AESA Awards.
