in your book and do 12 star jumps!

Understanding of the World

Can you build a bridge to go over a river for the 3 Billy Goats Gruff? Have a look around your home and see what materials you can use.

Expressive art and design

Can your toys travel over the bridge without falling off?Act out the part of the story when the goats go across the bridge.

“Who is that trip trapping over my bridge”.

EARTH DAY STEM ACTIVITIES

Earth Day is celebrated April 22 each year. It is a day set aside to bring awareness to the importance of protecting our planet. The first official Earth Day was in 1970 in response to increasing oil spills, smog, and water pollution. All across the United States, there were protests and public gatherings with the intention of educating the public about the problems facing the environment.

Since 1970, Earth Day has grown into a global even with an estimated 1 billion people now participating around the world. Here in the US, Earth Day is observed with public events with speakers, activities, and work days. Schools and organizations teach children and the public the importance of caring for the Earth.
