From the President’s Desk Happy New Year! I’m delighted that The Ferguson Library is starting 2018 with several new initiatives that will enhance or expand our services. We will be replacing our mobile app with one that connects simultaneously with the catalog (see App article below for directions). Renewing material, searching and plac- ing a hold has never been easier. There are even links to recommend a purchase. We are also extending DVD loan times. By March, we will be loaning older DVD titles for 7 days! To make your viewing easier, we will also bundle DVDs by theme or series. And we are teaming up with Stamford Parks and Rec, the Junior League of Southwest Connecticut and Girl Scout Troop 50266 to install a Little Free Library in one of our parks. We hope this pilot will be a success and we can expand this service to other city parks! – Alice Knapp, President Friends Author Series: Bestselling Author Adriana Trigiani on January 23 Bring your friends to an evening of food, wine and conversation with Adriana Trigiani, author of Kiss Carlo.
