respect!A Remembrance Wall was created outside of our 3/4F and 3/4T classrooms, by the students from our school.

The students were given the fantastic opportunity during the last week of Term 1 to participate in an interactive classroom experience, studying the Great Barrier Reef. The teachers and two scuba divers directly interacted with the students, asking and answering questions as they swam with turtles, sharks and played with Nemo!

Parent involvement in 3/4F is welcomed and necessary to support the success of your child’s learning. During Term 2 we will continue to learn about the different text types and include them as the format for our Talking and Listening activities. The five topics, which the students focused on for their weekly class presentation

during Term 1, still remain. Each child will continue to have their same set day each week as in Term 1, to deliver a 2-3 minute talk. A letter was sent home last week with students. It would be greatly appreciated, if you help your child to be prepared for their specific day each week. Thank you to those parents who supported their child’s preparation for the talk last term. The students who participated did a great job and each week their confidence and presentation improved.

Parent contact is always supported at our school and very necessary for student success, so please ring or

send in a message with your child to make a time where we can discuss your child’s learning.Regards Ms Susan Felsch, 3/4F.

Jenny King will still be with us as canteen manager, so we can still look forward to the yummy food we have had for such a long time.

And...don't forget to ask the kids to tell you what they learnt at school every day. This is so important in embedding their learning. All the best to everyone! Regards Michael Taylor, Principal.
