The Carousel Week programme features several activitiesin electrical engineering. You will be part of a team ofstudents from Malta, France, Finland and Hungary.
CREATING AND COLLABORATING
The projectYour goal will be to monitor the moisture level of thesoil of some potted plants in order to irrigate the plantsautomatically. Youwill be controlling somewater valvesbased on an embedded system using an ArduinoPrerequisite: basic programming skills
DISCOVERING A SUCCESSFUL EUROPEAN PARTNERSHIPYou will have the opportunity to visit Methode Electronics, ST Microelectronics and Medavia, threelong-standing companies in Malta with international ties. The visit will demonstrate what can beaccomplished through team work in Europe and beyond.

PRACTICAL INFORMATIONThe University of Malta offers shared rooms on a bed-and-breakfast basis at the Kappara Hotel TriqWied Ghollieqa Kappara, San Gwann SGN 1000This hotel is within walking distance to the University and UM students will meet you at the hotel toshow you the way.The hotel can be reached from the Airport via public transport.
