Kidneys are one of the major organs of the body. Each Kidney is made up about

a million units called Nephrons. The nephrons are the filtering unit of the kidneys,

removing harmful toxins from your body.

This gradually leads to decline in the kidney’s functions and may lead to

• Rice, Rice Flakes (Poha), Rice Vermicelli, Murmura, Dal Vari, Rawa, Maida, Sago, Arrowroot.

• Fruits: Guava, Apple, Pear, Pineapple

• Milk and milk products as prescribed.

• Dudhi, Tendli, Bhindi, Turya, Red and White Pumpkin, Cabbage, French Beans, Gawar Phali, Cucumber, Beetroot, Carrot.

• Kadhi or thin Dal instead of thick Dals and Pulses

• Clear Soups

• Avoid all fruit juices

and Coconut water

• Avoid Coffee and

Cocoa

How to consume leafy vegetables?All the leafy vegetables contain potassium. The

vegetables should be washed in water thoroughly

and then passed through hot boiling water. This
