HEATING/AIR CONDITIONING (HVAC) Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., 9 week session: $550This course is designed to provide students with entry-level skills in the repair and servicing of refrigeration, air-conditioning and heating equipment used in residential, industrial and commercial buildings. This course includes the test for required EPA 608 licensing. With little or no previous experience, this class will take a minimum of two 9-week sessions to complete the course competencies. Required textbook additional. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technology, 6th Edition, ISBN: 978-1-4283-1936-3, available for purchase at the registration desk.

AUTOMOTIVE BODY/COLLISION REPAIR Monday-Thursday 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., 9 week session: $450Students will be able to safely and correctly use appropriate tools, use plastic body fillers correctly, set-up and adjust a paint spray gun for painting, develop MIG welding techniques, use a plasma cutter, set-up and operate a power pull, remove and replace auto body components, including bumpers, and identify hidden damage. With little or no previous experience, this class will take a minimum of three 9-week sessions to complete the course competencies.

AUTOMOTIVE SPRAY PAINTING Monday-Thursday 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., 9 week session: $450Prerequisite: Completion of Auto Body/Collision Repair CourseStudents will be able to correctly use appropriate tools, prepare surface of car for paint and set-up and use spray gun. Students will have knowledge of body paints and spot painting. With little or no previous experience, this class will take a minimum of three 9-week sessions to complete the course competencies.

AUTOMOTIVE CAREERS Monday-Thursday 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 9 week session: $450This course teaches skills necessary for entry-level employment in the automotive field. Through classroom and hands-on instruction, students will be prepared to take the ASE Certification Tests. With little or no previous experience, this rotational class will take a minimum of five 9-week sessions to complete and will cover all aspects of the automobile including Engine Principles, Diagnosis & Repair, Electrical & Electronics, Performance & Ignition, Fuel & Emissions, Transmissions, Brakes, and Maintenance.

SMOG CHECK INSPECTOR TRAINING Monday-Thursday 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m., 9 week session: $600This course includes the two levels required to become a Smog Inspector in California. No experience is required. BAR Certified Training Center. Level 1—Engine and Emission Control Fundamentals. Level 2—Smog Check Procedures Training. Students who complete and pass the course will have met the Bureau of Automotive Repair requirements to take the Smog Check Inspector state licensing exam.

WELDING I Monday & Wednesday 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 18 week session (09/09/2015 – 02/03/2016): $1000This course is designed to provide necessary skills for entry level proficiency in the area of oxy-acetylene welding and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW). Includes textbook, and use of basic protective jacket, classroom helmet, gloves, and tools. Work boots are required and leathers are recommended.

WELDING II Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 18 week session (09/08/2015 – 02/04/2016): $800Prerequisite: Welding I or instructor approvalThis course is designed to develop necessary skills for entry level proficiency in the area of GMAW (MIG) and GTAW(TIG) welding. Work boots are required and leathers recommended.

WELDING III Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., 18 week session (09/08/2015 – 02/04/2016): $800Prerequisite: Welding II or instructor approvalThis course is designed to prepare students to complete the Structural Steel Performance Welding Certification Test using shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), GMAW (MIG) and/or Fluxcore Arc Welding (FCAW) in the 3G and 4G positions. An introduction to pipe welding is also provided. Work boots are required and leathers recommended

AUTOCAD 2015 (2D) DESIGN Thursdays 5:30-8:30 p.m., 8 week session (09/17/2015 – 11/05/2015): $90This course is designed to develop entry-level 2D computer aided drafting skills in mechanical and/or architectural drafting using AutoCAD type creating, editing, drawing settings and layering commands. With little or no previous experience, this class will take a minimum of three 9-week sessions to complete the course competencies.

SOLIDWORKS (3D) MODELING Tuesdays 5:30-8:30 p.m., 8 week session (09/15/2015 – 11/03/2015): $90This course introduces entry-level skills to develop basic mechanical shapes, basic mechanical assembly, bill of materials and the theory of parametric 3D modeling using SolidWorks 2014-15. With little or no previous experience, this class will take a minimum of three 9-week sessions to complete the course competencies.

CUSTOM SEWING and TAILORING Wednesdays 4:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Each 9-week session: $100This series of courses in custom sewing and tailoring offers students the opportunity to hone their skills and prepare for a wide variety of careers in alterations, fashion design, interior decorating, and custom specialty sewing.

Beginning Sewing Session 1, (09/09/2015 – 11/04/2015)Learn how to select and cut fabrics, use a sewing machine, employ hand sewing techniques, use a variety of stitches, select and use patterns, create projects, and make simple fitting adjustments.

Fashion Design and Garment Construction Session 2, (11/18/2015 – 02/03/2016)Study the business and creative side of the fashion industry and learn to design and create apparel. Develop sketching, measuring, and garment construction skills. Learn how to select, block and make patterns; cut fabric; select and apply a variety of stitches; and use finishing techniques for a professional look. This class will teach you the core sewing techniques you'll need to create any garment while at the same time give you a designer's eye for quality.

Professional Tailoring and Alterations Session 3, (02/10/2016 – 04/06/2016)Learn to restyle, resize, custom tailor, and make alterations to clothing, including lengthening and shortening hems and sleeves, altering waistbands and armholes, replacing zippers, repairing seams and tears, adding lining, tapering a variety of garments and more. Process fittings using precise marking and pinning. Learn to work with a variety of garment styles and types of fabrics. Build and develop product knowledge through an awareness of fit, style, construction, and fashion trends.

Custom Sewing for Interior Décor Session 4, (04/20/2016 – 06/22/2016)Learn to apply sewing skills to design and create soft furnishings for commercial and residential applications. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, learn to make custom pillows, cushions, window treatments, tablecloths, bedding, and kitchen and bath linens. Learn to plan, select colors, textures, and prints, measure, select fabrics, and construct a variety of decorative soft furnishings. Study and apply interior fashion and design trends to update homes and workspaces.

QUICKBOOKS ACCOUNTING Thursdays 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., 9 week session: $100This QuickBooks course covers the following competencies: QuickBooks Basics, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Bank Reconciliation. Students wishing to complete additional competencies may sign up for the class again to cover: Reports and Graphs, Customizing QuickBooks, Inventory, Time and Billing, Payroll Setup, Payroll Processing, Company File Setup and Maintenance, Adjustments and Year-End Procedures, Final Project. The QuickBooks Fundamentals Learning Guide 2013, ISBN 978-1-57338-116-1, used in the course is considered excellent preparation for the QuickBooks User Certification Exam. Books are available for classroom use only.

GRAPHIC DESIGN Monday & Wednesday 5:30-8:30 p.m., 18 week session (09/09/2015 – 02/03/2016): $300This exciting course teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced skills in graphic design using Adobe CS6, the ultimate software suite for producing professional quality projects for personal, business or online distribution. Instructor guided lessons are followed by individual hands-on projects to develop skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Includes design, layout and advertising techniques used in today’s job market. Students will have the creative freedom to design their own digital art, visual effects, web graphics, product labels, color graphics, photo restorations, and much more! Students may enroll in additional sessions to prepare for Adobe certifications.
