Overview of Site Functions
1. Login and update your profile, skills and experiences2. View projects and express interest3. Submit your own project ideas4. Find prospective team members
1. Based on common project interests2. Based on desired skills/experiences
5. Form groups with students in your class6. Submit bids for projects your team wants to work
Check your email for login info
• Check email from [email protected]• Username is your GT Username• Password rest link is in your email
Login/access to site• You can access the capstone Design
marketplace by two ways:1. http://capstone.gatech.edu/marketplace
redirects to the login page (top right)
2. You can click login on top right of http://projects.gatech.edu/ page (bottom right)
Enter Profile Details
• Upon logging here http://capstone.gatech.edu/marketplace, a new student user will be asked to enter their basic profile information.
• You will be directed to update your skills after you click “Save” (see next slide)
Add/Edit Skills
• You will be directed to update your skills after you click “Save” (see screenshot on top right)
• You can always change your profile information later (see screenshot on bottom right)
Projects
• If you are not part of a team/group, then you will be able to view ALL the projects approved for your semester
• You may click the “Interested” button under the Workflow Actions header to express your interest in the project
• To view your interests, click the menu “My Interests” under the “Projects” tab
Viewing a Project
• Click on a project to see who all have expressed interest work on the project.
• If you choose to add more information as to why you are interested, double click the white space next to your name.
• You may click on the student name to view their email and skills (if they have entered any)
Groups
• You may create a group (one person group is also possible), join an existing group or add members to your group using GT username
• If you have pending invitations or requests, they will appear in a list above the Groups section
• You may also view the bids submitted by other groups/teams by clicking on the “Bids” tab on the top bar of the site
Roster
• You may view the list of all students who have registered for the same section as yours by clicking the “Roster” menu under the “Groups” tab
• Note: This list only shows the students who had registered for the course as of 08/09/2020.
Projects (after joining a team)• After you join a team, you will
be able to see only those projects which are relevant to the major associated with your course/section.
• For example, if you are registered for ME4182, you will only see projects that need MEs
Submitting bids
• Click the “Create Bid” button under the Workflow Actions header to express your interest in the project
• You can submit as many bids as the number of projects available for your course/section
• Each bid has to be assigned a priority rank before submitting the bid
• Only one unique rank can be assigned to a specific bid.
Bids
• Confirm that your bid was submitted by clicking the “Bids” tab and looking under the “My Bids” section
