Blessing of Marriage Vows Saturday, February 11th @ 5:00 pm Mass
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HOSTED
Couples Dinner Following Mass in Craven Hall $25.00 PER COUPLE
Tickets will be sold following all Masses weekends of January 29th and February 4th. For more information, please contact a Knight or Paul McKinney at 256-558-2297.
In the Gospel today Jesus gives us the Beatitudes, which embody a radically alternative vision of life and we find that God indeed calls us to blessedness.
This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to proclaim the good news of the kingdom to the poor helping needy families by providing food, rent, and utility assis-tance.
Pope Francis on Civil Dialogue In situations apparently dominated by ha-
tred and violence, where families are sepa-rated by stone walls or the no less impene-
trable walls of prejudice and resentment, where there seem to be good reasons for saying “enough is enough”, it is only by blessing rather than cursing, by visiting rather than repelling, and by accepting rather than fighting, that we can break the spiral of evil, show that goodness
is always possible, and educate our children to fellowship. (1/23/15)
G ive your kids the best gift ever…parents with a great marriage! Both you and your children will see great
attentiveness, more awareness and renewed growth in your relationship after attending a Worldwide Marriage Encounter weekend. These results are like polishing silverware—just remove the tarnish to let the beauty shine through again! The next weekend in the dio-cese is scheduled in Cullman, March 24-27 at St. Bernard Abbey. You can get more informa-tion or register online at www.ALFL-wwme.org or by calling Bob & Joy Hernandez at 678-985-0125.

The Diocese of Birmingham invites men discerning Priesthood to a
Come and See Weekend

Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
