An A+ School Driven by Childrens Needs
Principals Message:Dear Canyon View Families,
The 2012-2013 school year is off and running and our students and staff
members are starting to find our groove as we begin the new schoolyear. The overwhelming amount of smiles and laughter indicate that
our summer preparations have paid off and that our students are going
to thoroughly enjoy the learning experiences that lie ahead. I have been
in and out of classrooms each day introducing myself to all of our stu-
dents. I have made it a personal goal to learn all of our students names,
and our children are doing an excellent job in helping me with this im-
portant responsibility!
In response to the extreme heat, Pima County issued a few heat adviso-
ries this week and advised schools to keep students indoors for mid-day
activities. We listened to the warnings and kept our students out of the
heat when the heat became excessive. As the summer begins to slowly
wind down, please have your child wear sunscreen as a precautionary
measure.
On the topic of student safety, I would like to remind all families about
some safety procedures we have in place and ask for your cooperation
in following them. Your childs safety is of utmost importance to us!

tion and overview given by the
Principal and FFO President.
Around 6:20 p.m., Session 1parents will be dismissed and

classroom until 7 p.m. After
meeting with their childs

Parents in Session 2 have the
option to meet with the spe-
