Not just information and support, but a service that offers a greater awareness of the benefits of holistic, non-invasive cancer therapies, nutrition and diet, as well as orthodox treatments; what is available and where to access them. It is a window of light into the world of healing, where the word "Terminal" is a challenge, not a death sentence.
He has also worked with major hospitals on experimental therapy using stem cells for various diseases.
SPEAKERSNaveen Kumar has an MBA and 18 years of working experience in the healthcare industry in Malaysia and Asia. Having worked as Director of Operations for a Johns Hopkins affiliated reference laboratory, he has been exposed to knowledge on various types of cancers, modern methods for cancer detec-tion and treatment outcomes. His achieve-ments include the increased awareness on HPV testing for cervical cancer detection in Malaysia by way of seminars and projects.
SYNOPSISDendritic Cells are the pacemakers of the Immune system, crucial for the recognition of cancer cells and the introduction of anti-can-cer immune responses resulting in destruction and killing of cancer cells. Dendritic Cells were discovered by Prof. Ralph Steinman, Rockefeller University, who went on to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine.
Dendritic cells are targeted immunotherapy and adjuvant to che-motherapy.
Cancer is treatable as any other disease. With the application of current treatment techniques, surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and biologic therapy, cure is possible in nearly 2 of 3 patients diag-nosed with cancer. (Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, 18th edition)
Dendritic cell therapy is Autologous and patient specific. It is manu-factured with patients own blood and primed with a tumour antigen from the patients tumour tissue.
