English
Book: Corner Stones 2a
Read ‘Treasure Hunting’ pages 90-95.
Answer the following questions in the English copy (write the questions in the copy as well)
1. What are some best tools for gathering information?
2. What information is Robin going to find at the library?
3. What are some topics the children wanted to learn and where are they going to get the
information from?
4. Draw a picture of a treasure chest and kind of information you can fill it with.
Project: Follow the instructions on pages 96-99 to make your own Treasure box at home. It will be
brought to class once school re opens.
Math
Book: Targeting Math, 2A Part-2
Length, pages 37-45
Book: Math Makes Sense 2
Page 205- Measure distances around pictures.
Page 206- Determine the number of units they used.
Do the given worksheets on perimeter and paste it in the Math copy. (Parents: find the attached file and
print out the worksheet for the student to be able to write on it).
Science
Book: Growth and Changes in Animals
Do page 54 in the book and write ten sentences about Mammals in the copy.
Page 56 – Cut and paste the examples of mammals from the sheet given.

Write important information about fish from the videos in the science copy.
Social Studies
Book: Changing Family and Community Traditions
Review pages 36-38 and answer the questions from pages 39-40 in the book.
Find the attached file on United States of America and read. Cut, paste and color the Statue of Liberty,
U.S.A flag and U.S.A map in the copy. (Map, statue of liberty and flag pictures was given with the
books along with other worksheets).

United States of America Fifty two states make up United States of America.
These include Alaska in the far North and Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean.
America is one of the biggest and richest countries in the world.
It has modern industries and fertile farmland.
Most populated city in America is New York City followed by Los Angeles and Chicago.
Capital of U.S.A is Washington D.C.
Largest lake- Lake Superior
Highest mountain – Mt. Mckinley
Major Products: Steel, cars, oil, coal, cotton, cereal, crops, tobacco, beef, maize,
clothing, fruits, soya beans.
Special features- The Grand Canyon
America has huge grassy swamps called Everglades in the state of Florida. Swamps are
home to all sorts of wild animals including alligators, panthers and turtles.
More about America
The Hawaii is top of volcano in the Pacific Ocean.
Mount Kilauea is the most active volcano.
Animals in America-Grizzly bears, American bald eagle, American Alligator, Bison, Road
runner, Raccoon and Mountain lion.
Most popular sports- American Football, Ice Hockey and baseball.
