Our campus is a 10 acre haven of peace and tranquility situated in the scenic hill station of Chikmagalur district of Karnataka. It is located close to the village of MC Halli in Tarikere taluk. Being positioned in the heart of the mighty mountain ranges

of the Western Ghats, one of the 18 global bio-diversity hotspots, the region enjoys abundance of verdant greenery with cool temperate climate and quite enjoyable for growing children. I am extremely delighted to head the AVS Global School. ‘A true hall mark of education’, our school has laid its stepping stone with a vision to empower each student with globally embodied virtues of life and develop a personality that transcends limitations.

Like a sapling that grows with careful nurturing and supervision, we at AVS Global School seek to provide the necessary foundation for the holistic development for our blossoming buds of tomorrow and provide them with the required tools and knowledge to face the ever changing world.

Our beautifully designed academic blocks house spacious classrooms and support facilities are equipped with modern teaching aids and infrastructure. Our academic spectrum covers providing quality education to children from Lower Kindergarten up to Secondory level.

We are staffed with well trained teachers who are handpicked for their educational prowess and their aptitude for harmonious interaction with children. In order to ensure personal attention to each child, we maintain a healthy teacher-student ratio as per accepted norms. The academic regimen is also complemented with high focus on holistic development of your child through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Knowledge found in the textbook comes alive in the laboratory. It is in the lab that the child learns to connect theory with reality. Our educational infrastructure includes well equipped laboratories for all domains of knowledge taught in the classroom. We have separate full-fledged science labs for physics, chemistry, biology and an independent computer science lab. There are also labs for mathematics, digital language and social science.

The abacus is one of the world’s most ancient calculating tools made of beeds sliding on wires. The abacus system of mental calculation is a system where users mentally visualize an abacus to do calculations. Children trained in this method develop extraordinary mathematical ability and mental agility. Our students undergo abacus training right from a young age.

Our library is a treasure trove of knowledge. It is furnished with a wide ranging collection of books in hard copy spanning all domains of knowledge, literature and the arts. This supplemented with digital collection to suit the needs of modern education. Our library is maintained in conformity with the high standards that The British Council is famous for.

HEALTHCARE

AUDITORIUM AND CONFERENCE HALL

Children of different age groups have different healthcare needs. In order to address these concerns, we have set up a full-fledged Infirmary, which is equipped with outpatient facilities and managed by trained nursing personnel. It is supported with the services of doctor-on-call and a roll call of paediatrician and other specialists.

We have a spacious auditorium for hosting various school events, functions, competitions and cultural celebrations. The auditorium has a seating capacity of 2000 and it is equipped with facilities like public address system, stage settings and green room. The school also has a conference hall with a seating capacity for 100.

VEDIC MATHEMATICSAncient India was the birthplace of many great mathematicians. India’s mathematical prowess is enshrined in the Vedic mathematics which imparts skill and speed to the student. We give exposure to our students in the Vedic system of mathematics and enhance their ability to the next level.

Music & Dance: We have a specially designated Music and Dance Studio with all facilities for learning the performing arts. The school regularly conducts classes for the learning of various musical instruments from teachers who are proficient in them. The school offers exposure to Carnatic, Hindustani and Western stream of music.

Theatre: We expose students to theatre at a young age by enacting plays and skits and also giving students an introduction to the stage. The regular practice and the joy of achievement in putting up a successful performance on stage boost the confidence of the students. We also have a Puppet Theatre Room where students are exposure to puppetry.

Arts & Crafts: We have full time drawing and crafts instructors who teach children the intricacies of art. Their creative potential is allowed to bloom by engaging in artistic assignments and participating in arts and crafts competitions.

Scouts & Guides: The school has a full-fledged Scouts & Guides unit where the children are taught survival skills, camping and outdoor living, adventure, love of nature etc. Scouts & Guides is an international movement founded by Baden Powel to encourage young boys and girls to reach their full potential.

National Cadet Corps: NCC instils discipline and the ideals of patriotism and service to the nation. Our school has full-fledged NCC units,

Integrated Foundational Courses and STEM Company: AVS Global School is empowered with Integrated Foundational Courses and STEM company to familiarise students with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at an early age and prepare them for a future in STEM based streams.

Robotics & Artificial Intelligence: Robotics is the future of technology. With man learning to make machines which are more and more intelligent, life has become easy for all. Children who show inclination to

technology are given exposure to Robotics and Artificial Intelligence at a young age to enable them to get better understanding of their future possibilities.

Culinary Classes: Cooking is one of the most creative talent based arts. It is also an avenue for tremendously satisfying profession in hospitality industry. In order to introduce children to the joys of cookery at a young age, we hold regular classes in cooking where the children are given exposure to its basic tenets, thereby developing their interest in the field.

Gardening & Horticulture: Gardening is a highly engaging hobby. We encourage our students to take up gardening and horticulture in our school campus. They are provided with training in the basics of gardening, use of tools and techniques etc. The vegetables and fruits produced in the school garden are used in the school kitchen.

Astronomy Studio: Our Astronomy Studio introduces our students to the wonders of space and arouses their curiosity in celestial objects. The students are trained in sky watching, identifying stars and constellations and observing cosmic phenomena like solar and lunar eclipse, transit of comets etc.

Linguistics: Language is chief medium of human communication. Excellence in one’s linguistic abilities is of great advantage in communication. To help students to acquire this, we conduct regular Phonetic Classes and English Communication Class whereby they can get professionally trained to better express themselves.

Yoga: Yoga classes are conducted on a regular basis to make students health conscious and also to make them develop healthy lifestyle which will stay with them for a lifetime.

CELEBRATIONSFestivals enable us to identify and integrate with our culture. They bring joy to life and foster mutually respectful relationships with our fellowmen. At AVS Global School, we celebrate all national festivals like Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti. SPORTS FACILITIESPhysical fitness and sporting abilities are a part of the child’s learning process for developing sound mind in sound body. SAFETY & SECURITYSafety and security of the students is given optimum importance on the campus. All the children are issued automatic ID cards which are affixed with GPS tracking device to ensure that no child is lost. The entire campus is monitored by trained security personnel. CCTVs are installed at all vantage points of the campus and in the academic blocks and the classrooms for security surveillance. We maintain a fleet of air-conditioned buses for safe transport of the students. The buses are operated by trained drivers and female student attendees.

REFECTORYEating together is the essence of living together. Sharing the dining table with friends and loved ones gives a sense of being one with humanity. At AVS Global School we have a comfortable, spacious and well furnished Dining hall and Cafeteria for the students. The dining and cooking areas are hygienically maintained by experienced personnel who are professional trained in food and hospitality industry. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served here followed scientifically designed diet.
