Standard mounting backplate with universalfixing hole systemThis mounting backplate withits universal hole system,including hole pattern tosupplementary sheet 1 ofDIN EN 1154 A, ensuresideal fixing whatever theconditions and irrespectiveof the door type. The fixinghole patterns are the same for both sizes of theDORMA TS 93. Additionalmounting plates/brackets are no longer required.Alignment dowels on themounting backplate facilitatelocation of the closer body.
BackcheckThe backcheck feature ensures the safe decelerationand restraint of a door whichhas been flung open orcaught by a gust of wind.This effectively reduces the danger of the door andadjacent wall being damaged.
Delayed actionThe delayed action featureretards the closing cyclebetween 120° and 70°(approximate values for pull-side door leaf fixing). Theextra time allowed for passage through the doorwaycan be essential for peoplewith luggage or bulky items:mothers with prams, personnel with tea trolleys,post trolleys, hospital beds,etc.; and also for disabledpeople.

The DORMA G-N slide channel assembly incorpo-rates the slide arm, slidechannel, slide block, fixingadapters, screws and endcaps. The DORMA G-N slide channel assembly isnon-handed and can becombined with all door closermodels.
Thanks to oblong holes inthe fixing adapters, the slidechannel can be effectivelyadjusted to variations in the drill hole pattern whilekeeping the gap betweendoor closer body and slidechannel aligned and parallel.
The DORMA G-N has beensuccessfully type-tested toEN 1154 in conjunctionwith the DORMA TS 93.Certificates are available onrequest.
The DORMA RF hold-openunit enables doors to besecurely held without anyfall-back at precisely therequired position up to anopening angle of approx.150°. The hold-open func-tion can be easily switchedon and off by the user, and
the release force can beadjusted to the door typeconcerned. The DORMA RFmechanism is non-handedand has been specificallydesigned for retrofitting tothe G-N type standard slidechannel.
The suitability of the hold-open unit may be limitedwhere the closer unit isfixed to the door leaf on thepush side, in combinationwith outward-opening doors,and also in the case oflarge, heavy doors.
Not for fire and smoke doors.
Accessories for the DORMAG-N, RF slide channel:Cushioned limit stay forretrofitting to the slide channel. Adjustable between80° and max. 120°.
The cushioned limit stay prevents the door from hitting the adjacent wallwhen opened normally.
The cushioned limit stay is not a heavy-duty protective device and inmany applications cannotsubstitute for a door stop.

The DORMA G-EMF slidechannel assembly enablesthe door to be held opensecurely at a preselectedposition without fall-back.The hold-open point can beadjusted within an openingangle of approx. 80° and 120°.NoteThe active leaf can be openedup to the maximum selectedhold-open point (door stopto be positioned accordingly).
In the event of an alarm or a fault in the power supply,the hold-open is releasedand the door is closed bythe door closer. The releaseis triggered by a signal fromexternal smoke detectors(e.g. DORMA RMZ orDORMA RM). The release force for thehold-open mechanism canbe adjusted without toolsand is rated to ensure that

Electro-mechanical hold-open and integral smoke detector
The DORMA G-EMR slidechannel assembly enables fireand smoke doors to be heldopen securely at precisely theangle required, and monitoredand controlled completely in-dependently of other systems.The hold-open point can beadjusted to opening anglesbetween approx. 80° and 120°.
NoteThe active leaf can be openedup to the maximum selectedhold-open point (door stop tobe positioned accordingly). In the event of an alarm or a fault in the power supply,the hold-open is releasedand the door is closed bythe door closer. The release force for thehold-open mechanism can

The DORMA G-SR slidechannel with integral doorco-ordinator featuring apush rod clamping systemfor double doors, ensuresthat the active leaf alwayscloses after the inactive leaf.As this system operatesindependently of the doorcloser hydraulics, it offersmaximum safety and reliabi-
lity (doors prevented from“creeping closed”). An over-load release protects boththe door co-ordinator andthe door set from damage. The DORMA G-SR door co-ordinator is non-handedand suitable for combinationwith DORMA TS 93 B doorclosers.
Standard door co-ordinator (G-SR)
These door co-ordinators notonly ensure the correct closing sequence of doubledoors, but also allow thedoor leaves to be individuallyheld open. In the event ofan alarm or power failure,the hold-open is releasedand the door is closed bythe door closer.The release action is trigge-red by a signal from thesmoke detector integrated in the G-SR-EMR door co-ordinator.The G-SR-EMR DCW doorco-ordinator model is alsoavailable without a powerpack for integration in building management andcontrol systems via a DCWbus and the DORMA TMSdoor management system.
The pull-off force for thehold-open mechanism canbe adjusted without toolsand is rated to ensure thatthe door can also be easilyreleased manually. DORMAG-SR-EMF and G-SR-EMRdoor co-ordinators are non-handed and suitable forcombination with DORMATS 93 B door closers.In the case of doors inwhich the hold-open pointrequired exceeds 130°, werecommend that DORMAEM hold-open magnets be applied instead of the electro-mechanical hold-open unit.

This door co-ordinator containsjust one hold-open mechanism,located in the inactive leafslide channel, for holdingopen both door leaves. Thesingle-point hold-open posi-tion is adjustable betweenapprox. 80° and 130°.Note The active leaf can beopened up to the maximumselected hold-open point(door stop to be positionedaccordingly). The active leafcan be held open by thedoor co-ordinator at anyangle up to max. 150°.

The DORMA G-SR/BG push-side slide channel with integral door co-ordinator,featuring a push rod clam-ping system for doubledoors, ensures that the activeleaf always closes after theinactive leaf. As this systemoperates independently ofthe door closer hydraulics, itoffers maximum safety andreliability (doors preventedfrom “creeping closed”). Anoverload release protects boththe door co-ordinator andthe door set from damage.
The DORMA G-SR/BG doorcoordinator is non-handedand suitable for combinationwith DORMA TS 93 G doorclosers.Note:Max. opening angle 120°(door stop to be positionedaccordingly).Not suitable for emergencyexit doors which are openedat the inactive leaf.
Standard door co-ordinator (G-SR/BG)
These push-side door co-ordinators not only ensurethe correct closing sequenceof double doors, but alsoallow the door leaves to beindividually held open. Inthe event of an alarm orpower failure, the hold-openis released and the door isclosed by the door closer.The release is triggered by asignal from the smokedetector integrated in the G-SR-EMR/BG door co-ordi-nator.The G-SR-EMR DCW/BGdoor co-ordinator model isalso available without apower pack for integration inbuilding management andcontrol systems via a DCWbus and the DORMA TMSdoor management system.

issued by the GermanInstitute for BuildingTechnology and ensure perfect interaction betweenall the devices employed forholding open fire and smokecheck doors – whatever thesituation.
The DORMA RMZ smokedetector provides a 24 V DCsupply for all the hold-opendevices connected to it. In the event of an alarm orpower failure, it de-energisesthe devices (release function).It has an automatic reset,which can be switched tomanual reset if required. A floating (volt-free) change-over contact and connec-tions for further detectors
and external manual releasedevices are also provided.The smoke detector is avai-lable in the RMZ versionwith stabilised power packor in the RMZ DCW versionwithout a power pack forintegration in buildingmanagement and controlsystems via a DCW bus and the DORMA TMS doormanagement system.
The DORMA RM smokedetector is designed as asmoke switch and actuates afloating (volt-free) change-over contact in the event ofan alarm or power failure. Itis also suitable as an add-onsmoke detector for the
DORMA TS 93 EMR andRMZ.A floating (volt-free) change-over contact and connec-tions for further detectorsand external manual releasedevices are also provided.

The use of hold-open devicesmay be subject to certainconditions. These usuallydeal particularly with therelevant acceptance, routineinspection and maintenancerequirements.
The information given onthis page is designed toinform all relevant personsof the most important measures to be implementedin order to ensure best practice governing the oper-ation of hold-open systems.

1.1 In respect of doors etc.which are held open byhold-open systems, the areaneeded for closure must bekept permanently free ofobstructions. This areashould be clearly indicatedby means of lettering, floor markings or similar. If necessary, structural measures may need to betaken in order to ensure thatwiring/ducting, stored goods
or structural components(e.g. false ceilings or othercomponents) do not falldown into the area to bekept clear.
1.2 As far as possible,smoke detectors should beused for hold-open systems.Smoke detectors should beused for hold-open systemsfor doors etc. in emergencyexits and escape routes.
1.3 All hold-open devicesshould be able to be releasedmanually without their operational readiness beingadversely affected. Door closers with electro-magnetichold-open systems can bereleased by pressing lightlyon the door leaf. If hold-open magnets or free-swingdoor closers are used, therelease function is triggeredby pressing a switch. The
switch must be located inthe immediate proximity ofthe door and must not becovered when the door isheld open.
2.1 After the system hasbeen fitted ready for use on-site, it should be commissioned to check thatits operation is problem-freeand that its installationcomplies with all relevantregulations. The commission-
ing should only be performedby qualified technical personnel.
3.1 The operator shouldkeep the hold-open systemin a permanently fit state for use and must inspect itat least once a month toensure its functional integrity.
3.2 In addition, it is the responsibility of the operatorto ensure that all devices arechecked and maintained/serviced to ensure their combined functional integrity,this to be performed at leastonce a year, unless a shorter
time period is stipulated inthe national regulations. Thisinspection and servicingactivity should only be carried out by a specialist orsuitably qualified person.
3.3 The scope, result and time of the routine inspections should be recorded, and these recordsshould be retained by theoperator.
