This project will take place in three stages the first stage will be a contact making seminar, where we will share information about the organisations and about the best practices. The aim will be to create a map which shows the IVS projects tackling inclusion and active citizenship and peace processes that have been implemented by IVS organisations so far, so that we can analyse their strengths and weaknesses and see what are the areas that needs improvement and what we can do to improve youth participation in the Mediterranean area. OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR The objectives set up for the seminar are to: 1. Introduce IVS, CCIVS and other organisations; 2. Exchange of good practices in the field of youth work, non-formal education; 3. BACKGROUND OF THE

Following the creation of the "VOLUNTEERING 2011: Global Strategies for Global Challenges -

The Youth Volunteering Movement answering the challenges of Sustainability, Social

Inclusion and MDGs", the members of IVS defined Active Participation and Social inclusion

and Human rights and Peace as main thematic actions for the movement.

The project is directly linked to the CCIVS plan of action and touches issues including a

culture of peace, active participation and its organisational aspects which are related to

OBJECTIVES OF THE SEMINAR

2. Exchange of good practices in the field of youth work, non-formal education;

3. Map the IVS projects tackling inclusion and active citizenship that have been implemented

by IVS organisations so far;

4. Analyse projects and their results, with a clear focus on their strengths and weaknesses;

5. Define the approach of IVS organisations on inclusion and active participation (political

priorities, partners/stakeholders to be involved, etc.);

6. Identify needs and reflect together on how to tackle these issues

7. Develop new mobility projects within promoters countries, reinforce MEDA region co-

operation. - Promote reciprocity within youth exchanges giving equal opportunities to all

young people, develop a medium-term plan of action in the field of inclusion and active

participation;

PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS

The project is open to the partners of the MEDA project who can nominate their permanent

staff or long term volunteers who have responsibilities related to international coordination

and who can represent their organisations having a good working knowledge of English

and coming from one of the partner organisations of this project.

Participants will have the following profiles:

Involved in IVS movements and have an active role in their organisations (the

contact making seminar and evaluation is aimed towards project managers,

coordinators of organisations;

Able to represent the best practice of their organisations and to support in the

fulfilment of the objectives above;

Interested in the development of Active Participation and Social Inclusion actions

within IVS movement, as a tool for social change;

Able to understand and discuss complex issues in English.

FINANCIAL ASPECTS FOR THE

PARTICIPANTS

Member organisations and partners are expected to cover the travel costs of their

representatives. A maximum of 70% of all travel costs will be reimbursed by CCIVS the

earliest 3 months after the end of the seminar/study visit/evaluation on receipt of all

boarding passes, train/bus tickets, visa receipts etc.., the travel costs will be platformed as

according to eligible costs by the Erasmus+ programme (see below); however CCIVS would

like to encourage participants to buy travel tickets ASAP to enjoy economical prices. Please

do not buy travel tickets until your participation has been approved by the CCIVS.

Please note that the process of reimbursement will be carried out directly with the applicant

organisations and not with the individual participants.

Above you can see the platforms for each activity. This call applies to Activity one contact

making seminar in France.

The staff exchanges included in the project can be discussed during the contact making

seminar.

However please note that any changes need to then be communicated to the agency

and the budget will not increase!

There will be a 50€ participation fee for each activity to be paid on arrival.
