Thickness Confirms to TAPPI / ASTM Caliper Thickness Tester (Motorised / Automatic) (Dead-Weight Type) This is a precision instrument to accurately measure the thickness of flexible and semi-rigid substrates like tissue, paper, board, corrugated board, plastic films, laminates, foils, etc. A Digimatic caliper gauge is mounted on the base with a Dead Weight on top so as to develop a uniform, reproducible constant pressure on the anvil through the foot. This model has a special motorised mechanism which lifts and releases the measuring foot in a simple cyclic motion. This helps the operator to use both of his hands to load and unload the samples and the user can take 6 - 10 readings per minute. There is also a 3+1 second time delay between the release-lift action of the measuring foot. This ensures the highest levels of reproducibility and also confirms to various international standards.
