What This Means for YouAs a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, your potential income will be among America’s 25 Best Paying Jobs, as reported by Forbes. With no required on-call responsibilities and a professional practice that can be as active as you choose, you can have an exceptional work-life balance.

Why Choose the California School of Podiatric Medicine “CSPM”?1 More than a century of academic excellence in podiatric

medical education.

2 Hands-on, early clinical experiences at the beginning of the second year—earlier than almost every other podiatric medical program.

3 Small entering class sizes of just 48 students.

4 Pioneering faculty in biomechanics and sports medicine.

5 Our Health Science Simulation Center (HSSC) is one of only three centers west of the Mississippi to receive national accreditation and is an exceptional learning environment prior to treating patients in clinics and a unique location to participate in interprofessional experiences.

6 2018 Licensure Pass Rate (NBPME Part III): 100% for first-time test takers.

Residency: Your Capstone ExperienceSimilar to the educational preparation for MDs and DOs, DPMs undergo post-doctoral training in the form of a residency. The time for such training varies depending on the area the podiatric physician will be emphasizing; however, most residency programs last three years. In 2019, the residency placement rate was 100 percent for eligible CSPM candidates.
