Commencement Speaker Biography

Habib Sadeghi, DO

Habib Sadeghi, DO, is founder of Be Hive of Healing Integrative Medical Centerin Agoura Hills, California. He specializes in a multidisciplinary approach to

chronic illnesses such as cancer and autoimmune diseases, with comprehensivetreatment protocols that incorporate a wide range of interventions. Some of theseinclude osteopathic, anthroposophical, environmental, psychosomatic, family, andGerman new medicine. His success in integrating Eastern and Western treatmentmodalities has earned him a respected reputation resulting in a patient base thatreaches around the world.

With a master’s degree in spiritual psychology emphasizing consciousness, healthand healing, Dr. Sadeghi’s philosophy of physical healing places equal importance

on the psychological well-being of the patient, particularly as it relates to unresolved past emotional trauma.Through individualized psycho-spiritual exploration and reconciliation, combined with prescribed medicalinterventions, Dr. Sadeghi has achieved impressive results in patients suffering serious chronic illnesses. When themind and heart heal, the body responds to treatment in new ways. As such, Dr. Sadeghi is a frequent presenter andsought-after expert within the international holistic medical community on psychosomatic illness and thephenomenon of somaticizing unresolved emotional trauma into physical disease.

Dr. Sadeghi is co-founder of the Love Button Global Movement, a nonprofit organization that seeks to inspireloving acts of kindness and philanthropy within communities to improve social cohesion. He has been a presenteror keynote speaker for various organizations including the international telethon Stand Up 2 Cancer (SU2C),National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA), Los Angeles Fire Department Leadership Academy,California Women’s Conference, Fertility Plan It hosted by the University of California, Los Angeles, and the GoopHealth Summit, In Goop Health.

He has served as an attending physician at UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center and is currently a clinical instructorof family medicine at Western University of Health Sciences. He is a member of the Physicians Association forAnthroposophic Medicine, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation, and the American Holistic MedicalAssociation.

Dr. Sadeghi is the author of two books, The Clarity Cleanse: 12 Steps to Finding Renewed Energy, Spiritual Fulfillmentand Emotional Healing, and Within: A Spiritual Awakening to Love & Weight Loss. He is a regular contributor to theHuffington Post and the lifestyle website Goop, and serves as editor-in-chief and publisher of the annual health andwellness journal MegaZEN.

The Podiatric Physician’s Oath

I do solemnly swear to my God, on my honor, to those who have taught me, and by all thingsthat I hold sacred, that as a practitioner of Podiatric Medicine, I shall abide by the followingprecepts:

I shall, above all, hold paramount the welfare of my patient, regardless of fee or favor. I shallneither prescribe nor give any treatment or drug which will be detrimental to his or her well-being.

I shall endeavor to uphold the dignity of the professional way of life, the aims of which are torender public service.

I shall cherish those who have taught me, holding high their principles and precepts, and Ipledge that I shall do everything that I am able to do to promote and to protect the profession ofPodiatric Medicine, and to aid my fellow practitioners.

In swearing to this oath, I hereby dedicate myself in service to the health of humanity, and Ihold as my goal the relief of pain and suffering.

If I keep this oath, may I receive God’s guidance in the practice of my art, and may I enjoy mylife in the respect of all men and women.


The Osteopathic Oath

I do hereby affirm my loyalty to the profession I am about to enter:

I will be mindful always of my great responsibility to preserve the health and life of my patients,to retain their confidence and respect both as a physician and a friend who will guard theirsecrets with scrupulous honor and fidelity, to perform faithfully to my professional duties, toemploy only those recognized methods of treatment consistent with good judgment and withmy skill and ability, keeping in mind always nature’s laws and the body’s inherent capacity forrecovery.

I will be ever vigilant in aiding the general welfare of the community, sustaining its laws andinstitutions, not engaging in those practices which will in any way bring shame or discredit uponmyself or my profession.

I will give no drugs for deadly purposes to any person, though it be asked of me.

I will endeavor to work in accord with my colleagues in a spirit of progressive cooperation andnever by word or by act cast imputations upon them or their rightful practices.

I will look with respect and esteem upon all those who have taught me my art.

To my college I will be loyal and strive always for its best interests and for the interests of thestudents who will come after me.

I will be ever alert to further the application of basic biologic truths to the healing arts and todevelop the principles of osteopathic medicine as taught by my profession.
