Social Networking”
OPEN TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL AND SPOUSES
SPOUSES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY L.E. STUDENT California POST Certified plan NA-8 Hours CPT

Friday, November 11, 2011 0800 to 1700 hours
(Day before CNOA 47th Annual Training Institute) John Ascuaga’s Nugget - Sparks, Nevada
It used to be all about Sex, Drugs and Rock n’ Roll. Today it’s about the power of Social Networking and how it is spreading information to the youngest of society at a rate that one cannot even imagine. If you thought you knew everything about drugs, think again. White Lightning, Mephedrone, JWH-018, Salvia, Purple Drank, K2, Synthetic Cannabinoids. MDMA, Dextromethorphan, Kratom, 2C- I, Cathinone and the list goes on. Our youth today have experienced an explosion in the dissemination of information on the topic of drugs and sex. Studies show that in excess of 70% of those persons actively using social networking sites on a daily basis, will have more faith in the information on their friend’s Facebook page, than you as a parent, or experts in the field. This class explores the teenage (and pre teen) trends in areas of the Over the Counter (OTC) medications, new drugs flooding the network, and the synthetics that are circumventing the law. We will have open internet access in the class room to walk you through various social networking sites to develop your expertise, get to know your local trends, learn their language, and provide you the skills to do investigations via the net. Bring your laptop, I-pad or any smart device to have a hands-on experience.
Seating is limited – Only pre-registration will guarantee admission Law Enforcement Identification Required at the Door
