The 2016 Annual MLEFIAA Firearms Instructor Development Conference will be held
September 27 through 29, 2016. The entire conference, including the Law Enforcement
Product Expo, will take place at the Harvard Sportsmans Club located five minutes off
both I-495 and Route 2. HSC is the premier private shooting facility in Massachusetts
featuring over a dozen ranges including a 300 yard rifle, combat pistol, law enforcement
rifle & shotgun as well as full auto ranges.
The Executive Board has worked to keep the tuition rate at an affordable $235 for
MLEFIAA members and $325 for non-members. Your tuition includes a catered lunch on
all three days. If a member wishes to include their annual dues, the tuition is $265.
Payment must be received in order for your slot to be reserved. There will be no walk in

For those traveling a long distance and looking for accommodations, MLEFIAA has
contracted with the Spring Hill Suites (Marriott) in Devens to provide suite style lodging
at reasonable rates. The hotel is a 13 minute drive from the range. Room rates at the
time of publishing are $127/night plus tax for Law Enforcement. You must mention
MLEFIAA and have your police ID at check-in. We strongly suggest reserving a room early
because historically the hotel is sold out the week of the conference.

Range Facilities Info Harvard Sportsmans Club 250 Littleton County Road, Harvard, MA Harvard Sportsmans Club is one of the largest non-commercial and premier shooting facilities in Massachusetts. With 200+ acres, a central location and over 13 ranges, HSC is the ideal location for the MLEFIAA Instructor Development & Training Conference. The HSC membership has graciously allowed MLEFIAA to use their facility for the conference since 2003. The range complex features 100, 200 and 300 yard rifle ranges, 7 action shooting pits, a law enforcement range, 2 SMG ranges, a Class III range, 7, 25 and 50 yard pistol / small bore rifle ranges in addition to the indoor pistol range. At the top of the ramp, turn LEFT, then turn LEFT on Porter Street. Follow Porter Street go to the end and turn LEFT on Whitcomb Ave. (which becomes Littleton County Road at the Harvard town line). Lunch will be served for registered Conference Attendees and Vendors in the Clubhouse. Due to the large attendance, we split lunch into two sessions. When you register you will be given your lunch assignment. *All attendees must pick up their Conference ID, class schedule and information packet at the registration table located at Range Control between 0830 and 1200 on Tuesday. MPTC Instructors attending only the recertification and retirees just attending the LEOSA class should check in here as well.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS Title of Presentation: QUALIFICATION BASED ON REALITY Presenters: Sgt Ulf Petersson Agency: Sweden National Police Brief overview of presentation: The Swedish Qualification. A presentation of how it applies to reality. The course will include micro scenarios, technique and skill building training. Brief Overview of Presentation: This class will go deeply into the history and combat application of point shooting. We will begin with the definition of point shooting as well as debunking the many myths which exist about the technique. After a detailed look back at its history we will then go into all aspects of point shooting from contact distance to about 15 yards which includes full extension 3/4 hip, 1/2 hip and retention shooting.
