    CA is pleased to present you with the latest installation and maintenance

    tape for Advantage CA-InterTest Batch Release 3.1, an integral component

    of the Data Management and application Development solutions we provide

    for the z/OS and OS/390 operating systems.

    For clients outside North America, please contact your local CA Support

    Center (http://www.ca.com/camap.htm) to determine general availability of

    this Service Pack.

    Prerequisites:

    It is required that CA Common Services for z/OS be installed at a supported

    maintenance level.

    Getting Started:

    1. Check the contents of this package against the enclosed packing list.Call your Technical Support organization for Advantage CA-InterTestBatch if you encounter any discrepancies.

    2. This release of Advantage CA-InterTest Batch must be installed andmaintained using SMP. Please refer to the Getting Started Guide forinstructions on installing and maintaining this product.

    Detailed information about SupportConnect will follow in a separate section

    of this document.

    The VOLSER of this cartridge is FC0604. The product LMP code forAdvantage CA-InterTest Batch is FC. The product LMP code for theseparately licensed IMS Option to Advantage CA-InterTest Batch is FB.The product LMP code for the separately licensed PL/I Option toAdvantage CA-InterTest Batch is Q6.

    The label information for Advantage CA-InterTest Batch (310604EJ600)

    denotes the level of the tape. The tape contents are as follows:

    o DSN=CAI.SAMPJCL (File number 9): This is an unloaded PDScontaining all sample JCL referred to in this document pertainingto installation and execution of Advantage CA-InterTest Batch.Load via IEBCOPY.

    o DSN=SMPMCS (File number 32): This file contains the SMPmodification control statements (MCS) used by SMP to installAdvantage CA-InterTest Batch.

    o Files beyond 32 are the SMP RELFILES, which SMP will downloadto disk during RECEIVE processing.

    The component code for Advantage CA-InterTest Batch is MR. The

    component code is used in filenames and JCL member names.

    Documentation:

    One printed copy of the Advantage CA-InterTest Batch Getting Started

    Guide is included with this package. A complete set of documentation is

    provided in PDF format on this tape, and on our technical support website

    at: http://supportconnect.ca.com. The latest editions of all online guides

    are provided on SupportConnect. The online guides eliminate the need to

    update pages throughout hard copy documentation and provide the

    most current information in a timely manner. Libraries containing the

    manuals in IBM BookManager format are included on the enclosed cartridge

    in files 19 and 20. The BookManager READ files can be unloaded using the

    JCL found in SAMPJCL member MR31BOOK. Please edit the JCL to conform

    to your installation standards and submit the job.

    The Advantage CA-InterTest Batch documentation set is also provided in

    Adobe Acrobat PDF format on the enclosed cartridge in file 16. The PDF file

    can be unloaded using the SAMPJCL member MR31PDF. Edit the JCL to

    conform to your installation standards and submit the job.

    License Management Program (LMP):

    This release of Advantage CA-InterTest Batch requires the installation and

    use of the Resource Initialization Manager (CAIRIM) and the License

    Management Program (LMP), both provided with CA Common Services for

    z/OS. Included in this installation package is the LMP Product Key

    Certificate(s) required for using Advantage CA-InterTest Batch at your site.

    LMP provides a standardized, automated approach to license managementand is designed to eliminate the difficulties inherent in tracking the

    accurate, licensed use of Computer Associates products. LMP and an

    optional online facility comprise Total License Care (TLC), a component of

    the Computer Associates comprehensive service and support program

    known as CA-TCC Total Client Care. Prior to IPLing the system, make

    certain the LMP execution key is provided and the key certificate has been

    added to the CAIRIM parameters.

    For a full description of the procedure for installing your LMP key(s), please

    refer to the CA Common Services for z/OS Getting Started Guide. If, after

    referring to the documentation mentioned above and the enclosed material,

    you still have questions, please call the CA License Management Program

    Hotline at 1-800-338-6720 in North America (24 hours a day, 7 days a

    week). Outside of North America, contact your local CA Technical Support

    organization during business hours.

    Installation Notes:

    Section A - Maintenance Installation

    Please refer to Chapter 4 of the Advantage CA-InterTest Batch Getting

    Started Guide.

    Note: CAS9 needs to be re-run to complete the maintenance cycle.

    If you are installing for the first time, please refer to Chapter 3 of the

    Advantage CA-InterTest Batch Getting Started Guide.

    The JCL necessary to perform installation is located in CAI.SAMPJCL (file 9).

    Please reference the Getting Started Guide for the JCL to unload

    CAI.SAMPJCL.
