Main Goal!!

WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.

“advocacy with excellence” WWF creates solutions that will solve our

planet's BIG environmental challenges. We want people and nature to thrive together.

How It Got Started!

1961 there were limited amount of resources available and didn’t have the way of raising money.

WWF was created as an advocacy foundation to raise the money for the other organizations.

It was created on September 11, 1961 by a group of Europeans composed of scientists, naturalists, business and political leaders.

Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands became the organization’s first president.

Today! WWF in the United States is an

independent organization, it plays an increasingly important role in the worldwide conservation programs of the Network

Since 1985, the WWF Network has invested over $1.165 billion in more than 11,000 projects in 130 countries.

WWF's current strategy for achieving its mission specifically focuses on restoring populations of 36 species.

Trying to cover up the last six years worth of damage to these areas carbon emissions, cropland, grazing land, fishing, forestry and water.
