    CREEKSTONES MISSION

"Creekstone Church exists to glorify God by helpingpeople come alive to the wonder of Gods grace."

    WE AIM TO ACCOMPLISH THIS

    MISSION:

    Through Grace-Driven Teaching,

    Through Grace-Shaped Community, and

    Through Grace-Motivated Outreach.

    ESSENTIAL BELIEFS

The BibleThe Bible is Gods special revelation to humanity, centering on the glory of Gods grace through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Therefore, as the word ofGod, the Bible alone is our ultimate authority for all oflife, theologically, devotionally and practically.

FaithPeople are reconciled to God, not by their own goodworks, but through faith alone in the good works ofJesus. Therefore, someone becomes a Christian not bydoing for God, but by receiving from God.

GraceSalvation being through faith alone means that peopleare reconciled to God by grace alone through thesubstitutionary death of Jesus. Therefore, the Christians

standing before God is a gift, not a reward.

JesusOur only hope of forgiveness, righteousness, and eternallife is only gained through the life, death andresurrection of Jesus Christ, not by any merit or effort ofour own.

The Glory of GodThe goal of our theology is that God alone would receivethe glory for redeeming, adopting and empoweringsinners with new life. Therefore, there is no room for self-righteousness in the gospel, but only for boasting in thecross of Jesus.

For a more in-depth survey of our theological orientation, check out the Westminster Confession of Faith and

Catechisms and/or our extended theological summary onthe Creekstone website.

The Creekstone office is located on the Historic Square at40-B Public Square South just above the Mass BayTrading Company. The mailing address is PO Box 1234,Dahlonega, GA, 30533.

THE REVOLUTION: A STUDY IN THE BOOK OF ACTS

Message #22 Come and Get It

TODAYS BIBLE PASSAGE: Acts 13:42-48 (ESV)42As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath. 43Andafter the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followedPaul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

44The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. 45But when theJews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and began to contradic t what was spoken byPaul, reviling him.

46 And Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, saying, It was necessary that the word of God bespoken first to you. Since you thrust it aside and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold,we are turning to the Gentiles. 47For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have made you alight for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth. 48 And when theGentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as wereappointed to eternal life believed.

A LISTENING GUIDE FOR TODAYS MESSAGE:

Introduction: A preacher is like a gourmet chef who prepares all week to serve a feast. OnSundays, he cries out, Come and get it! After all, the primary way God nourishes his people isthrough the preaching of Gods grace in Jesus.

    I. A famished congregation (vv. 42-43)

II. Not everybody has a taste for grace (vv. 44-45)

III. God is glorified when we savor, enjoy and revel in the feast (vv. 46-48)

    QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION & DISCUS

    1) Why do you attend Creekstone on Sundays? Do you show up out of habit or dufamished for grace?

    2) What does it say about my heart if I can easily miss feasting on Sunday? What hcontinue to miss meals?

    3) Who are the people most likely not to have a taste for grace? Why might pure g

    4) Why do you think communion, or the Lords Supper tends to be more of a moment? Jesus died, but he is not dead. What would it look like if we learned t

in the grace which he has secured for us through the cross and resurrection so topportunity not just to look back, but to know Gods presence and power now, eternal joy in the future?
