Started Economics and Personal Finance course. These students, who are mostly ninth graders with no steady income, have already opened savings accounts.
Accounting spent time on computerized accounting by doing a simulation in which they performed the transactions of business for a month.

Six Students scored in the top 20% nationally in the financial literacy challenge. Over 84,000 students took the test with a national test score average of 69%.
Had a team win the Regional Economics Challenge.
Juniors and Seniors have all been certified in First Aid and CPR from the American Red Cross.
Had another successful year at the Brian Center. Several students were asked to fill out applications to work as CNA’s

Students helped the Christmas Mother, Purchased toys for children over the holidays, Volunteered for “Walk Mile in Their Shoes” for safe homes, Collected non-perishable food

Alan Leach was 7th in the state for Commercial Baking Aaron Been was 9th in the state for Automotive Servicing
Continued to build Dog Houses with donated money and materials for dogs around the area that needed shelter. One dog house was built and auctioned off to help the Humane Society
Students built other projects including tables and Adirondack chairs.

Automotive students have serviced and/or repaired over 300 vehicles this year

Four Seniors plan to continue their education at Nashville Auto Diesel and Wyo-Tech
All Seniors have been certified in CPR and First Aid
Served 53 Student teachers and 12 Preschoolers
Seniors Participated in the Mountain View Internship Program.
Hosted and presented the preschool parent orientation, graduation and reception
Further developed the foods and nutrition program and took a field trip to Food Lion
100% of seniors earned their OSHA card
3 Hands on qualifications earned by the senior class

Students went on a tour of Mead-Westvaco
All students were given a seminar and received a cutting torch certification from Victor Equipment Company, Charlottesville
