October 2015 Troy, Ohio Vol. XL Issue 10 Sept Program Don Worley will be presenting the October program. He will be sharing tips, jigs, etc. and carving a caricature ornament. Cookies Cookie volunteers for Sept are Barb Belcher and Deb Williams. Club Competition October is a competition month, so bring those carvings it to show off your work. And, as always, we will have a Show-an-Tell. Remember, your show and tell can be anything that you think the other club members would be interested in. Mulie’s Challenge Mulie brought in blanks (1¼ x 1¼ x 4 in) with the challenge to ‘carve’ something –finished pieces were judged at the Sept meeting. The Brukner Center will be auctioning the tree and ornaments as a fundraiser. Each carving donated receives one (1) ticket for the 50/50 drawing and the winner will receive ½ of what the tree goes for. This is a great opportunity to show off the talent in the club and, maybe, win some money too! No limit to the number of ornaments that you can donate and they do not have to be newly done (couple of mine go back about 3 years1). Let’s really fill up the tree!
