Conclusions about B. melitensis
• Denmark: Official free of Brucellosis in sheep/goat in 1995.
• 1-2 FPSR yearly
• The official surveillance program for B. melitensis is valuated at the moment.
Conclusions about
B. ovis ( ovine epididymitis)
• No official surveillance program so far.
• Sero positive reactions every year from Danish and samples abroad.
• Seropositive: 2,7%-0,32% in CFT
• Not ever detected by cultivation in Denmark (?).
• Importance of B. ovis/ ovine epididymitis ? • Farmers are interested in surveillance ( public task or funds ?)
