AboutBomo Art Budapest

Behind the Bomo Art Budapest brand there is an enthusiastic group of professionals, who every single day works for the shared goal: bind man and book together and rouse man’s innate instinct to create. Furthermore the aim of Bomo Art Team is also to bring joy into the life of future Bomo product owners by manufacturing beautiful, sophisticated, fine quality Bomo Art products.

The shop in Régiposta Street has been serving stationery and leather enthusiasts since 2000. At first it only sold diaries, wrapping papers, postcards and photo albums. Since then you can find recipe books, telephone registers in various sizes, a wider choice of diaries and praxinoscopes in its growing repertoire. Due to the fine quality goat and lamb skins and the watermarked paper, the range of Bomo Art products has become much more exclusive.

The name, Bomo Art Budapest indicates not only the shop but some of Budapest’s touristic sights and most beautiful buildings appear on its stationery as well. You can discover the Opera House or the Gresham Palace for example, but there are some designs showing the map of the most beautiful parts of Budapest as it was at the end of the 19th century. The motives featuring old posters, postcards, musical notes or famous Hungarian artists recall the halcyon days of the turn of the century.

We work with only the best raw materials (fine quality watermarked paper, strong goat and lamb skins) and the most durable hand binding technique. Thus you can flip through your Bomo Art diary or take notes in your journal as often as you like without being afraid that it may fall to pieces.

For those who appreciate unique designs, Bomo Art is the perfect choice. Our graphics are original designs and hand-drawn by our graphic artist. Let us introduce you one of our favourite visual toys; the Praxinoscope. Its structure of mirrors and classic film slides enchant children and grown-ups alike. If you turn the wheel with the appropriate speed, the film strips of 12 individual pictures will turn into a short animated film.

This fascinating machine was invented by the French pioneer of cinematography, Emil Reynaud, in 1877. Although the technical aspect of movie making has soared high since then, people still admire the praxinoscope regardless of age.

SHIPPINGYour order - depending on stock and the ordered quantity - will be delivered within 4 weeks calculated from the receipt of the order. Please note though that between September 1st and December 31st Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT operates with a longer production lead-time; thus delivery during this period will be completed within 5 weeks. Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT ships orders by international freight companies. The amount of freight depends on the weight, the size of the parcels and distance of the destination. (If needed delivery tracking number can be provided.) In case Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT cannot deliver your order due to lack of stock within the mentioned delivery period, you will be notified of the expected delivery date. PAYMENTYou can pay for your order by bank transfer, credit card payment or Paypal. In case of a bank transfer you transfer the amount indicated on the invoice to one of the bank accounts (HuF, EuRO, GBP) provided by Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT (please see below). In case of a credit card payment the total sum (in foreign currency) in the proforma – equivalent in Hungarian Forints - will be debited from your card. The exchange rate (valid on the day of payment) will be considered. Orders are dispatched only after receiving payments. Ownership of the goods on the invoice remains Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT’s until they are paid for.

REFuND POLICYYou can cancel a purchase without any cost on your side within two weeks from the date of receipt of the order by us. In case you cancel an order after two weeks from the date of receipt of the order by us, but before the pro forma invoice, you shall

pay 20 % of the value of the ordered products against an invoice sent by us to you. In case the pro forma invoice was already issued by us you shall pay us 40 % of the value of the ordered products. You must notify Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT of your intention to cancel an order via the [email protected] email address.

The applicable conditions are recorded in the 17/1999. (II.5.) government decree. You can exercise your right to cancel an order from the arrival date of your order.

You must return the product in its original, intact state with the invoice attached, to Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT (address). We are only obliged to take back products that are intact in every form, (i.e. state, content and packaging) and only in that case you are entitled to a full refund. If you decide to opt out of the purchase you are not required to pay any kind of compensation, but you are responsible for returning the delivered order. In case you cannot return the product in its intact state, Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT is not able to take it back, thus the product will be sent back to you at your expense. Régiposta ut-cai Naplóbolt KFT is entitled to sue anyone who commits or tries to commit fraud; however, Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT is not responsible for a fraud committed by a third party organization or at the expense of the customer. In case a customer violates the terms and conditions Bomo Art is entitled to suspend the customer’s registration or purchase and the customer cannot make an appeal.

SuSPENDING A CuSTOMERRégiposta utcai Naplóbolt KFT reserves the right to suspend customers without further notice who despite of being notified electronically or by phone do not collect two consecutive orders from the courier company.

COPYRIGHTSCustomers shall agree to sell the packaging/wrapping paper purchased from Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt Kft (Bomo Art) solely as packaging/wrapping paper and shall not use it for book binding purposes, such as cover material for diaries with a leather binding or for any other binding work that is typical only of diaries and products of Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt Kft. Furthermore, customer acknowledges that all the designs of papers with the trademark Regiposta utcai Naplóbolt Kft / Bomo Art are copyrighted and are under design protection and shall not make any copy thereof and the customer is fully aware of the resulting consequences. By entering into a sale and purchase relationship with Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt Kft, the Customers shall acknowledge that the individual design of the Products is and remains the intellectual property of Régiposta utcai Naplóbolt Kft in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Hungarian Civil Code and the Act. No. LXXVI.of 1999. on intellectual property and the customer may not use it in whole or in details for any other purpose than what is allowed under this Agreement and shall do everything in its power to protect the rights in relation to the intellectual property of the Principal.
